Tropes:
- Absurdly High-Stakes Game: Tae bet her 30,000 yen winnings on a trifecta* with Misa in first at 666.7:1 odds and receives winnings of a whopping 20 million * , enough to fully pay off Franchouchou's debts. And she did all by total accident! Everyone is left speechless.
- It should be noted that with only six racers the odds shouldn't have ever been that high, as the permutation of a trifecta in a six-person race only goes up to 120:1 odds. However, the venue, Boat Race Karatsu, instead uses a pari-mutuel system and collects winnings from all bets made. So what happened is that not many people bet on Misa to win, possible considering the reputation she was picking up, thus bumping her odds of winning from 6:1 all the way to 21.3:1.
- Achievements in Ignorance: Tae manages to pull some incredible feats by complete happenstance.
- She wins a local dance competition and receives a huge winning bonus.
- She bets her winnings on a boat race and makes back over six hundred times that amount.
- Ambiguous Situation: The Minamoto and Yamada family graves - Sakura and Tae's surnames, respectively - are right next to each other, although whether it has any deeper meaning or just plain coincidence is left in the air. Not helping matters is how the scene actually lingers on it enough for people to give it some thought.
- Breather Episode: The plot is mostly focused on Tae running errands around Saga and interacting with the locals, while also inadvertently helping Franchouchou's cause by making enough money to pay off their debt. That is until the Cliffhanger hits.
- The Bus Came Back: Many Saga locals from previous episodes reappear in this episode.

- Misa is currently retired from biking in favor of speedboat racing, trying to find other ways to reach the same sense of speed and thrills that won't endanger others.
