The girls and the Professor go on an outing to a lake where Buttercup is determined to catch the legendary crawdad One Claw McCraw. With Bubbles as her first mate, she has to compete with Princess Morbucks and her Cash Crew for it. Meanwhile, the Professor and Blossom take a disastrous hike in the forest.
This episode contains examples of:
- Bear Trap: Professor Utonium finds one when he goes off the trail.
- The Catfish: One Claw McCraw. Many have tried to capture him, including Buttercup and Morbucks. Buttercup realizes, however, that if she captured it, people wouldn't come to the lake anymore, so she sets it free.
- Coincidental Accidental Disguise: The Professor ends up covered in leaves, making it look like Bigfoot. Morbucks and her posse see him and decide to drop Buttercup and One Claw McCraw and go after him instead.
- Humiliation Conga: The Professor's hike with Blossom. He's bitten by mosquitoes, broken out with a poison ivy rash, caught in a bear trap, chased by a bear and a mountain lion, and then gets covered in fur and grass where Morbucks mistakes him for a yeti.
- Moby Schtick: Buttercup's pursuit of McCraw is a mirror of Captain Ahab's pursuit of the great white whale.
- Sanity Slippage: Buttercup goes insane from being on a boat whilst trying to catch One Claw McCraw, in two hours.
- Transforming Mecha: Morbucks' Cool Boat transforms into a Humongous Mecha.
