To get them out of his hair, Porkrind sends Cuphead and Mugman to Mt. Eruptus to receive a package. Seeing Mugman too scared to handle such a dangerous assignment, Cup gives him a way to face his fears.
  • All for Nothing: After the cups return from Mt. Eruptus with the package, Porkrind reveals that he actually sent them to Mt. Eruptus Dry Cleaners to get his laundry. So, Cuphead and Mugman risked life and limb for nothing.
  • Convection, Schmonvection: Cuphead and Mugman stand right next to the lava flowing out of Mt. Eruptus for an extended period of time without even sweating.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Cuphead and Mugman had the card Porkrind gave them that made them think they were going to Mt. Eruptus for three days, yet never bothered to notice that it said "Mt. Eruptus Cleaners" on the back the entire time.
  • Family-Unfriendly Death: Imagine Spot or not, Porkrind's thought of bashing Cuphead's and Mugman's heads in is pretty brutal.
  • Foreshadowing: The picture of Mt. Eruptus that Porkrind shows the cups looks very much like a business card. An active volcano on an uninhabited island wouldn't really have need for such a thing. Unless, of course, it was a business he wanted the two to go to.
  • Get Out!: In the end, Porkrind literally hands the boys his pinball machine, for free, so he doesn't have to deal with the noise anymore, the whole reason why he sent them out in the first place.
  • Hourglass Plot: In the beginning, Cuphead heads to the pinball game and asks Mugman "Nickel me!" By the end of the episode, Mugman is the one who asks Cuphead to "Nickel me!" as he plays the game.
  • Indulgent Fantasy Segue: Porkrind finally has enough of Cuphead and Mugman making too much noise, grabs a hammer and shatters both their heads, killing them. This turns out to be a daydream.
  • Magic Feather: When Mugman expresses fear over going to Mt. Eruptus, Cuphead gives him a pair of goggles to boost his confidence and be more dangerous. When they come off early in the journey, Cuphead keeps quiet until they reach the volcano. By then though, Mugman realizes that he went though a lot of dangerous moments without the goggles and concludes he never needed them.
  • Monster Is a Mommy: The "package" the cups returned from Mt. Eruptus was actually a dragon's egg. Grim Matchstick's egg, to be exact. Porkrind then suffers Grim's wrath when he arrives (in third phase form) to pick up little Grim Jr.
  • Noodle Incident: Porkrind is revealed to dabble in black market goods, but he prefers not to include his name in the process.
