After reading an article about the ficitonal bogeyman Manglefang in Superjail's newspaper, the Warden becomes obsessed with proving that Manglefang is real.
"The Superjail Inquisitor" contains examples of:
- The Cameo: Lord Stingray makes a brief appearance where he ends up becoming a bondage slave for the Mistress (herself a cameo, as she was a construct created by the tabloid articles).
- Brick Joke: At the beginning of the episode, one of the magazines claim that Jared's moustache is a dead ferret. Then during the climax, Jared's moustache turns into a live ferret.
- Continuity Nod: Superjail is still under renevation from "The Last Pack" after the events of "Superhell" and "Burn Stoolie Burn".
- The giant warden humanoids form "The Last Pack" are shown in the background.
- The painting of the Warden riding the centaur has a band aid on the area where the inmates broke through it in "Burn Stoolie Burn".
- Bolivian Army Ending / Downer Ending / Gainax Ending: Leave it to this show to somehow juggle all three of these tropes at once. The episode ends with the 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse emerging and The End of the World as We Know It about to occur. Keep in mind that this all occurs the last thirty seconds of the episode.
- Flaying Alive: Unintentionally. Alice tries to help Jared by ripping off his live ferret mustache but accidentally removes all of his skin in the proccess.
- Mister Seahorse: When the Triplets make the newspaper's headlines come to life, one result is that Jean immediately gives birth to infant versions of himself and his husband Paul.
- The Bus Came Back: The Triplets from "The Trouble with Triples" and the Hunter from "Hot Chick" both make a comeback.
- The Dog Bites Back: The Twins get back at their older brothers the Triplets for bullying them, by slightly modifying a fake alien news article to mock them.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Fatty gets attacked by various sea creatures. He dies again when he is ripped in half while using the toilet.
