Summary: Bowser is freed from the BS Society's custody under Dedede's orders, but on one condition: his team must win the championship title. As Team Bowser and Team Sonic prepare for the finals, Ganondorf puts his plan into action and unleashes a reawakened Ridley unto the World of Brawl.

Can be viewed here.

This episode contains examples of:

  • The Bad Guy Wins: Not only is Ridley reawakened, he also manages to conquer New Pork City and populate it with Ridley clones.
  • Big Damn Heroes: The mercenaries pull one to save Dedede from Ganondorf.
  • Big, Screwed-Up Family: The Creator's Triune. Ganon often refers to both Bowser and Dedede as his brothers, much to the chagrin of the other two.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode (and by extension, the entire season) ends with Peach and Meta Knight heading to Skyworld for reasons pertaining to the Star Rod, Ridley and Ganon conquering New Pork City, and Bowser preparing to move out of his house for unknown reasons.
  • Continuity Nod: Upon awakening in the Twilight Realm, Mewtwo laments the loss of his "beautiful fur coat" in Lucario's body, something he expressed joy in having back in the Smash King Winter Festival.
  • Detect Evil: The reason why Lucario initially refused to join Team Ganon: because of his Aura Vision, he could see the wickedness in Ganon's heart. Then Mewtwo's Demonic Possession kicked in, and the rest is history.
  • Finale Credits: Instead of the usual Closing Credits, the credits depict the major characters in different situations. See Cliffhanger above.
  • In the Back: Snake, when stabbed by Phantom Ganon. However, since Snake is apparently Made of Iron, the wound doesn't kill him.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Ganondorf willingly surrenders himself to the BS Society's custody...then attempts to backstab Dedede when he has his guard down.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: By infusing Bowser with the Creator's power, Samus and her crew inadvertently reawakened Ridley despite sealing him away.
Ridley: Bless you for single-handedly derailing the fate of your precious world!
  • Screw Your Ultimatum!: Basically how Bowser treats Dedede's ultimatum of winning the tournament: he's been fighting for so long, it barely even fazes him. Not only does it get a laugh out of the Koopa King, but even Dedede admits that his deal is total BS...or at least, pretends to admit it. In truth, it was only so he could have a chance to win the tourney and defeat Ganon and Ridley.
  • Season Finale: This is the final episode of Act II.
  • Self-Duplication: Ganondorf, now that he has the ability to create Phantom Ganon.
  • The Reveal: Several:
    • Dedede being the new third member of the Creator's Triune in the world of Brawl.
    • Ganondorf being able to create Phantom Ganon as a result of his boost in power.
    • Mewtwo really is alive, after being forced to vacate Lucario's body.
    • Ridley is a member of a group called the "Tetracardinals," a group of powerful beings that rival the Creator's Triune.
  • The Stinger: Adding another layer of wham to cap the episode off, Mewtwo meets up with Roy and Shadow the Hedgehog in the Twilight Realm.
  • Wham Episode: One of the biggest, where there are several reveals that flip the story on its head, along with showing how much power that Ganondorf truly has held after Bowser's Giga Ascent Mode released energy across the entire world.
  • Win Your Freedom: As a condition of being set free by Dedede, Bowser and his team must win the final round of the Smash King tourney. If they fail, Bowser dies.
