Phineas and Ferb invent a new language, Ferb Latin, which quickly catches on. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz uses Norm to make propaganda leaflets to make everyone do his bidding.

- Aside Comment: Ferb gives one after Phineas tells his father to "have fun buying from auctions and private sells preforming minor refurbishments to the purchase items, marking up the prices and selling them to your customers."Ferb: (to the camera) Our dad sells antiques.

- Doofenshmirtz tests out Norm's printer by printing out a leaflet reading "Slap Yourself"; it works so well that Doofenshmirtz slaps himself when reading it. At the end of the episode, after having crashed Norm into one of the city streets, another leaflet pops out. Doofenshmirtz reads it... and slaps himself again.
Doofensmirtz: Not funny, Norm.- Linda suggests Candace should find ways to relax, like when she eats some pie and rests in her sensory deprivation tank in the basement. Later, when Candace calls Linda, she is indeed relaxing in said sensory deprivation chamber.
- Counterpoint Duet: The "Ferb Latin" song has couplets of this.
- Dark Reprise: When Candace discovers Ferb Latin, a rather dissonant instrumental version of the title song plays to underscore her anxiety.
- Description Cut: When Linda sees Candace watch Phineas and Ferb writing out the plans for Ferb Latin, she tells Candace to relax; she also says that she should have enough time to go to the mall before they start implementing their plans. Candace agrees, and leaves for the mall. Immediately afterwards, the scene cuts to Phineas saying "Let's start implementing".
- Insult Backfire: After Norm spits coins out at Doof (It Makes Sense in Context), Doof calls Norm a "weird robot", to which Norm says, "Ank-therb ou-yerb" (Ferb Latin for "Thank you").
- Locked Out of the Loop: Linda and Doof are unaware of Ferb Latin. Linda because she was in her sensory deprivation chamber and Doof because he was busy plotting his evil scheme.
- Overly Long Gag: The gang blowing raspberries. It even prompts a cameo by Irving who appears behind the fence.
- Pig Latin: Ferb Latin is a parody of this, only instead of saying -ay, you say -erb.Phineas: It's all the fun of Pig Latin, and it's safe for vegetarians to use!
- Plot Hole: Ferb Latin is designed to be vegetarian-safe, but upon ending a conversation you have to give someone a slab of meat.
- Self Botched Catchphrase: When Ferb does some miming, Phineas interprets his first phrase as, "I... know... what... we're... going... to do... spatula!" But, of course, he realizes that Ferb meant "today", and should have known from context. And then Ferb mimes, and Phineas interprets as, "Hey... where's... spatula!"Phineas: Oh, yeah! Context again.
- Shout-Out: "Norm, take the dollar, leave the platypus."
- There Was a Door: Norm crashes through the wall when leaving to get his haircut and Doof tells him to use the door when he gets back.Doofenshmirtz: (to Perry the Platypus) He gets that from you, you know.
- What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Norm is made completely of metal, yet he goes to the barbershop to get a haircut, and when Perry removes one of his ears, wax somehow pours out.
- Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises: Norm's eyes widen when Doof tells him he always had a self-destruct button, but never told him its location so he wouldn't pick at it.
