Adam tries out for the school play, so he can impress Kerry.
- Animal Stampede: Jake causes one when he announces to a large group of elephant students that the cafeteria is giving out free peanut butter burritos. The elephants erupt into a mad craze and stampede there.
- Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better: Adam and Jake tried to outdo each other, at being the best "Jungle Guy".
- Cross Player: A male crocodile student, got the part of Jane in the play.
- Damsel in Distress: Lacey Badger was the so-called damsel, when she dropped her apple at lunch.
- Dark Horse Victory: Since Adam and Jake both got themselves detention, for their destructive, rabble-rousing feud over who gets to be Jungle Guy, neither of them got the part. Instead, Henry Armadillo, one of the most hopeless auditionees, made the part. Unsurprisingly, he bombed just as bad on stage as he did in rehearsal.
- Fall of the House of Cards: Averted, as Adam was able to easily construct one, on top of a rampaging elephant's back.
- Gross-Up Close-Up: As Adam insults Jake, a bunch of close ups exaggerate the latter's derpy eyes, snaggleteeth, and hairy butt.
- Here We Go Again!: Adam and Jake got into another argument, over who could be the best seat finder.
- Hopeless Auditionees: Miss Chameleon went through a ton of these, when looking for someone to play Jungle Guy.
- Love Interest: Kerry Anderson debuts here, and is this plot device in the episode.
- Noisy Shut-Up: Principal Pixiefrog screams "STOOOOOOOOP!!!" to put an end to the crazy elephant stampede that Adam and Jake caused.
- Shout-Out: "Jungle Guy" is a parody on Tarzan.
- Wedgie: Jake gave this to the crocodile kid.
