Sento: A civil war has erupted over the incredible energy hidden within Pandora’s Box. Kamen Rider Build, aka Kiryuu Sento, takes action to rescue the Prime Minister, who has been kidnapped by Seito… But Isurugi transforms into Kamen Rider Evol, and kills the Prime Minister.
Sento: How should I know? I just got this script for the recap so it’s news to me too.
Kazumi: And what the hell is a Kamen Rider Evol?
Sento: I just said I don’t know! Let’s just get to the scene. Now, what’ll happen on Episode 34?!

Prime Minister Himuro is dead, the Riders just barely missed being able to do anything about it, and try to take down Evolt. However, when Sento becomes poisoned, what will the rest of our protagonists do?

Episode Tropes:

  • The Bad Guy Wins:Evolt has finally possessed Ryuga, becoming EvolDragon in the process and about to take off with the rest of the Fullbottles from the heroes!
    Evolt: Phase Two, completed!
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Ryuga uses Sento's "This is terrible" before standing up to fight again.
  • Darkest Hour: The story hits an all time low throughout the whole episode. Taizan Himuro is dead, Sento is poisoned by Evolt and meant to die a slow agonizing death, Evolt gets Touto's bottles, and overpowers Vernage. Sento survives, but Evolt possesses Ryuga.
  • Grand Theft Me: Evolt’s entire plot up until now has been one long process to steal Ryuga’s body, which he does at the end of the episode. And to further rub salt in the wound, debuts his newest form, EvolDragon.
  • Hannibal Lecture: Evolt keeps trying to beat down Ryuga mentally so that he could give up or increase his Hazard Level. Either result would’ve been fine for Evolt.
  • He Knows Too Much: Evolt did not erase Takumi’s memories because he was going to quit Faust, but because he figured out who Evolt was and was going to personally kill him and Ryuga while he still had the chance so that Evolt could not regain his full power. Unfortunately for Takumi, Evolt knew Takumi would try something and replaced the Build Driver with one of its prototypes, which made the Gorilla Fullbottle's essence evaporate and empty itself. Furthermore, this explains how Takumi was able to use GorillaMond before the show started, and why the Gorilla Fullbottle had to be made in the show back in #2.
  • Limited-Use Magical Device: Vernage’s power has been decreasing since her two last major appearances in #29 and #30, and at this point, Evolt has more than enough power to overwhelm her.
  • Made of Iron: Evolt’s Kamen Rider form is capable of shrugging off hits from Sento, Ryuga, and Kazumi at their best, and is even capable of tanking their finishers while still being able to continue fighting.
  • Marathon Boss: Ryuga and Kazumi start fighting Evolt around afternoon, and Ryuga has been continually throwing himself back at Evolt to kick his butt even after the sun went down.
  • No Ontological Inertia: Since Evolt had been told where the nascita gang have been keeping Pandora’s Box and had their Fullbottles brought to him, he humors them by telling them to fight him, and if they manage to kill him, the poison he inflicted on Sento will also fade. This is actually a ploy to convince Ryuga to fight Evolt to raise his Hazard Level to the requisite 5.0 required for Evolt to use the Evolt Driver in Ryuga's body. He's also lying as even after his original body is defeated and he moves to Ryuga Sento is still poisoned, though Evolt is actually a good enough sport about their agreement to null the poison anyway.
  • Sadistic Choice: Ryuga has to choose between Sento dying from Evolt’s poison, or giving up Pandora’s Box and their remaining Fullbottles to Evolt.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Ryuga has absolutely no interest in whatever the hell Evolt is insulting him for during their fight, and tries to show Evolt how becoming human has made Ryuga capable of taking him on. This ends up going horrifically wrong.
  • The Reveal: We finally know the real reason why Ryuga was called to Takumi’s apartment, and what kind of alien Ryuga was bonded with.
  • Wham Episode: It turns out Takumi had his mind wiped and Ryuga was summoned to the apartment at the same day was because he found out that Soichi and Ryuga ARE Evolt and he plans to kill them before they can destroy the world. Then when it looks Ryuga was victorious against Evolt, he pulls out the Evol Driver to reveal he has been possessed!
  • Wham Line:
    • Ryuga is not just any alien. His abnormal development is because the thing that bonded with his mother’s baby was Evolt's physical self while what possesses Soichi is Evolt’s soul.
    • Ryuga speaking with Evolt's voice, showing that Evolt has possessed him.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Evolt infects Sento with an extraterrestrial poison that gives him about three days left to live.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Evolt used Sento to create tech, Fullbottles and get Ryuga to be better/be the reason for Ryuga to be better. With all the technology and bottles created and Ryuga close to the state he needs him in, Evol finally decides to get rid of Sento.
    • Or so it looks. Despite stating he wants to kill Sento and Kazumi now, he may still need Sento for EvolRabbit.
