The campers are given the chance to ride in Gyrospheres while a group of the park’s dinosaurs are herded across the island, however when a storm starts getting close and a Sinoceratops is spooked, the kids suddenly find themselves in peril.
- Animal Stampede: Darius and Brooklynn spark one by accident among the mixed-herbivore herd while trying to wrangle the Sinoceratops back into their midst.
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: While trying to get Yasmine to open up more, Sammy asks her favorite color, favorite food, and favorite color of food.Yasmine: Orange, orange, and orange.
- Fluffy Tamer: Sammy shows this ability when she manages to calm down a spooked Sinoceratops.
- Horn Attack: The Sinoceratops charges Darius and Brooklynn’s Gyrosphere, and stabs a hole into it with her horn.
- Hostile Weather: Things start to get bad when the thunderstorm that was supposed to have already passed the island swings around and hits them anyway. The lightning frightens one Sinoceratops into leaving the herd, the wind briefly traps Sammy and Yasmine among fallen trees, and the rain makes a mudpit that pulls Darius and Brooklynn’s Gyrosphere under.
- Meaningful Background Event: In-universe. While editing her vlog video of the incident, Brooklynn sees Sammy in the background of the video taking a mouth swab sample from the Sinoceratops.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Darius decides to use the campers’ three Gyrospheres to wrangle a Sinoceratops that got separated from the herd and move her back in, against the counselors’ wishes. This gets the campers in big trouble when the Gyrospheres cause the entire herd to stampede, and they get separated.
- Quicksand Sucks: When Brooklynn and Darius’s Gyphosphere is knocked into a mud pit the other campers have to save them from sinking and drowning.
- Scarily Specific Story: The episode starts with Darius telling a scary campfire story about a T-rex on an island... while they're on Isla Nublar.
- Slave to PR: Brooklynn sadly claims that her super-successful vlog has made her into one. As she reads comments from one Internet Jerk after another, she notes that her highly-publicized life means she’s constantly on the hunt for newer and more spectacular content, and nothing she says online, even if it’s just lame or dull, can ever be brushed off or forgotten.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: the initial Gyrosphere duos. Kenji is frustrated with the timid, accident-prone Ben driving, quiet, solitary Yasmina is dismayed by Sammy trying a little too hard to make friends with her, and Darius is annoyed with Brooklynn being sucked into her vlog.
