- Euphemistic Names: The show reveals that various Hanna-Barbera characters with names that could be mistaken for innuendos have been used for the name of porn sites, including Ding-A-Ling, Hi-Riser, Big Duke and Bigger Duke, Kwicky, Russ Schnooker, The Magic Rabbit, Fluid Man (That would be eww) Dirty Dawg, Mother Load and Galtar (and his Golden Lance).
- Fantastic Drug: Harvey gets tanning creme from Peanut to subsidize his lack of sun, which he becomes hopelessly hooked on. When he loses all his money to it, he takes up prostituting himself, giving away his apartment and parents, and eventually his friends put him through an intervention.
- Hypocritical Humor: When Harvey's friends are intervening on his tanning creme addiction, they are each indulging in their own self-destructive vice. Sebben's mouth is crammed with cigarettes, X is shooting craps and the rest of them are drinking.
- The Power of the Sun: Birdman's superhero abilities come from the sun, so it's reasoned that his constant exposure to the sun gave him a mole which could lead to cancer. He spends the whole episode buying Peanut's holistic medicine to help subsidize the drop in power this lack of sun is giving him.
- Take That!: Harvey and Peanut both burst out laughing at Ding-A-Ling's name and the idea that he has fans.
