Waylon Jeepers has finally perfected his Medusa Watch, which turns humans and pigeons into stone. In addition, he has also summoned the monster Vorn the Unspeakable. When Steff gets petrified, Freakazoid must seek a cure.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Affably Evil: Vorn always concludes his boastful introductions with a polite, "And you are?" Dracula remarks he's a nice, if insecure, guy in general.
  • Battle Discretion Shot: Cosgrove holds up a sheet and advises viewers to get some food and drink, while Freakazoid pummels Jeepers.
  • Continuity Nod: "I have not seen you this upset since they closed the boat rides at Disney Land."
  • Ear Ache: After defeating Jeepers and Vorn, Freakazoid goes to Professor Jones, who was supposed to be watching the petrified Steff, only to find her missing. When Freakazoid grills him for answers, Jones admits that he sold her. We then cut to see Freakazoid dragging Jones by the ear to the store he sold Steff to in order to get her back.
  • Expy: Vorn the Unspeakable is a blatant ripoff of Cthulhu.
  • The Gadfly: At the Monster Research Institute, Cosgrove keeps scaring Professor Jones by claiming to see a monster. Later, he gets the Wolf-Man to tap on the Freakmobile's glass while Jones is sitting inside (which makes Cosgrove smile in satisfaction).
  • Heroic Sacrifice: When Jeepers tries to use the Medusa Watch on Freakazoid, Steff pushes him out of the way, getting petrified instead. She gets better at the end, though.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Once at Venice Beach, Freakazoid is certain that Jeepers and Vorn will be easy to spot. Cosgrove then points out some of the locals.
  • Noodle Incident: According to Professor Heiny, Vorn was previously arrested in Miami for attempting to eat a police officer.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • After successfully testing his Medusa Watch, Jeepers upon seeing Freakazoid.
    • After Jeepers and Vorn successfully get the drop on Freakazoid and Cosgrove, Joe panics over this terrible trap. He goes on so long that the four characters react with annoyance.
  • Persona Non Grata: When explaining his backstory, Joe says Jeepers was forced to leave Venice Beach, California, for being too strange. During the climax, Jeepers returns there while wearing a disguise.
  • The Stinger: Jeepers's cranky neighbor screaming.
  • Take That!: "It was like having to watch Waterworld for a month."
  • Taken for Granite: Steff, thanks to Jeepers’ Medusa Watch, which can turn humans and pigeons into stone.
  • The Unreveal: Joe refuses to tell viewers where the Medusa Watch is.
  • We Need a Distraction: Freakazoid buys some time by getting Jeepers and Vorn to argue over what to do with the heroes (turn them to stone or eat them).
