Go To

A secret government agency known as The Division discovers that Jeremy has hacked into their computer system. Alerted to this infraction, the agency sends two men to Kadic Academy. In the course of their investigation, the two agents find the factory and the Supercomputer. Overwhelmed by their discovery, they plan to shut down the machine in order to better pore over its function. But at the same time, XANA launches an attack on Lyoko. Our heroes are forced to do battle on all fronts: in the computer lab, to keep the agents from shutting the Supercomputer down, and on Lyoko, to counter XANA’s attack…

This episode contains examples of:

  • Bland-Name Product: Odd's virtual pet, Jean-Pierre the Tamagutchi, is a reference to the real-life virtual pet Tamagotchi. In the english subtitles, it's even spelled the same way.
  • Body Surf: XANA takes control of two secret service agents, first in an attempt to kill Jérémie, the second to destroy the super computer.
  • Boring, but Practical: XANA's plan is surprisingly basic: get Jérémie detained by the secret service, attempt to kill him to stop helping the others on Lyoko, while the secret service agents destroy the super computer.
  • Breath Weapon: A variant: The bald agent is shown firing electricity from his mouth, compared to all other xanafied humans/spectres who fire from their hands instead.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: The super computer is physically attacked by XANA-fied agents, which causes issues on Lyoko for the weapons and such.
  • Helium Speech: One of the two agents speaks in an incredibly high-pitched voice in both the French and English dub.
  • Ironic Description Cut: At the end of the episode, when Yumi reveals that she plotted to get rid of Odd's Tamagutchi, she tries to console Odd by telling him that Jean-Pierre is "in good hands". Cut to Yumi's brother Hiroki playing with Jean-Pierre before the battery dies, at which point he throws it into the street and it is promptly run over by a car.
  • The Men in Black: The Secret Service agents are an over-the-top version of this; the bald agent tells Principal Delmas that "even we have no idea who we really are".
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: The Secret Service agents, Delmas, and Jim spy on Jérémie, they hear the heroes talking about 'Jean-Pierre'; naturally, the heroes are talking about Odd's Tamagutchi, while the agents think they're talking about the principal.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted: Odd's Tamagutchi is named Jean-Pierre, the same as Kadic's principal Jean-Pierre Delmas.
  • Running Gag: Jim once had a job in the secret service. He'd rather not talk about it.
  • Taking You with Me: One of the Megatanks fires its laser even as it falls into the Digital Sea, cutting off the rock side Odd is hanging onto and causing it to fall as well. Luckily, Yumi is able to stop Odd's fall Just in Time with her telekinesis.
  • Vocal Dissonance: One of the secret service agents has Helium Speech, which makes taking him seriously really hard.
