Recap / Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese No Boys Allowed

Go To

When the boys are feeling bored at home, they notice the girls having fun on their special annual day. Once Mom decides to invite her husband and the boys as well, Girl, Cat, and Cheese try to sabotage their fun just to keep the day for themselves.

"No Boys Allowed" provides examples of:

  • The Atoner: As a way to make it up to their brothers, the girls opt to help them with their activities, ranging from dressing up Boy's bobbleheads, to making an impressively large bone statue of Dog, and making Mouse's apple machine work.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: Cat's conscience of Mouse has him telling her if she's a good kitty. Cat seems to meow in agreement, only for the imaginary Mouse to shout that she's a bad kitty instead, making her scream and fall on the golf rack.
  • Book Ends: The episode begins with the boys feeling bored outside the backyard. Towards the end, they end up bored again after having been kicked out of the fun, but with the girls then showing up to fix things with them.
  • Easily Forgiven: When Girl and Cheese confess to Mom that they sabotage Amuse-a-palooza for the boys, the latter is merely proud of them for admitting it and just calmly asks them to invite the boys back while also giving them advice.
  • Irony: Mouse's attempts with his apple machine prove to be difficult for him as it results in bananas, yet one simple knock from Cat when she gives it a try gives Mouse his desired results.
  • Jerkass Ball: The girls spend the whole family event sabotaging their brothers' and father's fun in an attempt to have Amuse-a-palooza for themselves.
  • Jerkass Realization: The girls' guilty consciences of their brothers caused the to admit to their mother of their chicanery and decide to fix things with their brothers.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After spending most of the episode sabotaging their brothers fun with Amuse-a-palooza, the girls' guilty consciences of the boys come back to haunt them while playing mini golf.
  • The Millstone: Cat exposes her sisters' scheme upon accidentally shining a spoon in their spoon cabinet.
  • Pet the Dog:
    • Feeling bad for the boys' boredom, Mom opts to invite them and her husband to join her and the girls on Amuse-a-palooza, to her daughters' dismay.
    • Even as they found out of the sabotage, the boys leave in anger without ratting out their sisters to their parents as to not ruin their day since they care about others' feelings.
  • Percussive Maintenance: Cat's idea of making Mouse's apple making machine work involves knocking on the invention, allowing plenty of trees to contain lots of apples.
  • Smelly Feet Gag: Jocko's talent to the boys involves a trick involving his foot, to their disgust.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: After spending the whole episode feeling bored and being sabotaged of the family fun by the girls, the boys not only have their hobbies/tasks fixed by their sisters, receive an apology for ruining things with them, and are invited back to Amuse-a-palooza, with the episode ending with them on a fun boat ride.
