Desperate to get Jennifer back, the Pierce's embark on a special mission.
- Bloodless Carnage: Even accounting for his resurrection abilities, Lala doesn't have an ounce of blood on his clothes after being riddled with bullets from the police.
- Came Back Wrong: To the collective shock of Gambi, TC, Grace and her own family, Jennifer emerges in a completely different body.
- Continuity Nod: In order to reconstruct Jennifer, Gambi needs a particle condenser, which only STAR Labs in Central City has. Jefferson has Barry Allen use superspeed to deliver it to them offscreen.
- Evil Is One Big, Happy Family: Averted, there is a lot of tension between Val Seong, Red and Tobias.
- Frame-Up: Chief Lopez frames Lala for the death of Mayor Black and Lightning for the death of Lydell Jackson, despite Hassan's protest.
- Friendly Enemy: Lala actually seems rather glad that Jefferson is back in the suit, as it gives people something to believe in again.
- He's Back!: In order to safely get to the ionosphere, Jefferson finally puts the suit back on.
- Internal Reveal: Jefferson learns of Jennifer's addiction of flying up to the ionosphere and Lynn learns about Jefferson beating up Lydell Jackson without a suit. Naturally, both aren't initially very happy with one another for keeping secrets again, but they later apologize.
- It's All My Fault: TC blames himself for what happened with Jennifer.
- Lured into a Trap: Destiny calls Lala to make a truce with him, but just lures him into a police ambush, resulting in most of his gang, including Devonte, being arrested.
- Never Tell Me the Odds!: TC says that there is only a 24% chance of successfully reconstructing Jennifer.
- Not Me This Time: Lala truthfully tells Jefferson that he wasn't the one who shot Mayor Black and Jefferson lets him go.
- Not Quite Dead: Jennifer turns out to be alive, but dispersed into pure energy.
- The Nth Doctor: China Anne McClain, who wanted to leave the series for quite a while, is replaced with Laura Kariuki. In-universe, it is shown that Jennifer emerges in a different body after exploding into energy.
- An Offer You Can't Refuse: Chief Lopez puts Hassan in charge of the new meta task force, something he tries to decline.
- Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Red has no idea who Neil deGrasse Tyson is.
- Ripped from the Headlines: When Hassan is about to arrest Devonte, he says that he can't breathe, in reference to George Floyd's death. Hassan however quickly shuts him down, as he isn't even kneeling on him, telling him it's because he is fat.
- Wham Shot: Jennifer emerging from the chamber - in a completely different body!
- What the Hell, Hero?: Both Jefferson and Lynn lash out at each other for keeping secrets again, but they later apologize.
