When King Julien loses Sage during his bachelor party, he decides to replace Sage with a robot so nobody will notice he's gone.
Tropes:
- Bookends: "I Like to Move it" is used as Clover's reception song, marking it's first use in the series since the very first episode.
- Breaking the Fellowship: Clover marries Sage and leaves Julien's kingdom to rule as queen of the mountain lemurs.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Xixi lampshades the Continuity Cavalcade of wedding guests by mentioning it's been seasons since she's seen some of these people.
- Buried Alive: A traditional mountain lemur Stag Party is a funeral where the groom to be is buried to represent the death of his single life and dug up the next morning as a symbolic rebirth as a married man. Julien doesn't mark the grave very well and loses Sage the next morning.
- Call-Forward: As Maurice laments the end of an era, Julien assures him that the next big thing in their lives is likely just around the corner. Sure enough, as the party goes on, a crate washes up on the shore...Alex: Where are we?
- Continuity Cavalcade: Just about everyone shows up for Clover and Sage's wedding. Even Julien's parents show up initially assuming it's Julien and Clover that are getting married. The deceased even get one last appearance as we are shown everyone joining in on the wedding reception partying from Frank-ri La.
- Dance Party Ending: The show ends on Clover's wedding reception.
- Frankenstein's Monster: To replace Sage at the wedding, Julien has both Timo and Doctor S work together to create some kind of organic-robotic "Frankensage".Rob: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Maurice: Not when his eyes are made out of... What are his eyes made out of, anyway?
Timo: Uh, the left one is a marble I just happened to have lying around and not because I still play with marbles.
Doctor S: And the right eye is something I coughed up a few years ago. I think it belonged to a friend. - Grand Finale
- Holding the Floor: With Sage missing and Julien's plan to use a robot duplicate as a stand in not quite ready yet, Julien stalls out the wedding by delivering a heartfelt speech.
- Immediate Sequel: The final scene is Alex's crate washing up on the shore, meaning the events starting about a half hour into Madagascar will immediately follow.
- Made of Explodium: At the slightest short circuit, Frankensage explodes. Doctor S admits this is because he filled it with dynamite.
- Mayfly–December Romance: Alluded to when Mort hopes Clover and Sage last longer than any of his 12 prior marriages, before admitting most of them ended due to him outliving his wives.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Frankensage is far from a perfect replication and his hawk is not fooled at all, although Clover does seem to be fooled, although Frankensage abruptly explodes before she can really get a good look at him.
- Real Women Don't Wear Dresses: Clover admits she hates wearing a wedding dress, likely as a result of this trope.
- Running Gag: When Clover goes to try on her wedding dress, she finds Ted already wearing it, and just like in "The Strife Aquatic" the same "Why are you wearing a wedding dress?" "I don't understand the question" exchange occurs as a result.
- Stag Party: Julien throws a pretty wild one for Sage, but things don't really begin going south until Sage insists on a more traditional mountain lemur celebration that Julien doesn't execute very thoroughly wanting to get back to the normal party quicker.
- Ship Tease: While Julien was looking for Ted in Clover's hut, he ended up tripping in front of Clover when he was shocked to see her. The camera switched to Julien's point of view where it slowed down as Clover turned around to face Julien, before Julien got up with her pupils widened and became speechless, before complementing her looks. He also quickly tried to defend her when he saw Crimson in her hut, before realising that she didn't have any evil intentions.
