After escaping Prismo's Time Room from a pursuing Scarab, Fionna, Cake, and Simon venture through Farmworld, now a lawless world, in search of a new Ice Crown to turn Simon back into the Ice King and get home.

- After the End: While Farmworld was already Post-Apocalyptic, the world is shown to have become even worse ever since Farmworld Finn regained his sanity and Big Destiny managed to take back control of the town.
- Dating What Daddy Hates: Big D does not take finding out Little D is High Fiving Jay with her mouth very well.
- Fake Ultimate Hero: Big Destiny claims responsibility for stopping "The Snowman", actually Ice Finn, despite actually being brainwashed by the Lich and later frozen by Ice Finn back in "Crossover" while Finn and Jake were the ones who actually stopped him.
- Foregone Conclusion: Fionna, Cake, and Simon's efforts to find the Farmworld's Ice Crown was destined to fail, as Prismo had the crown destroyed in "Crossover".
- Missing Mom: The mother of Farmworld Finn's children, who died while making the stew they and their guests eat in the episode. It's never explicitly stated who the mother is, but due to one of Finn's kids having red hair and green eyes, she is implied to be the Farmworld counterpart of Huntress Wizard, due to her male counterpart in Fionna's world having the same hair and eyes.
- Mugging the Monster: Choose Bruce tries extorting a disguised Scarab out of any valuables he has in exchange for information regarding, Fionna, Cake, and Simon's whereabouts. Scarab's response is revealing his true face and threatening to kill Choose Bruce unless he talks.
- Not That Kind of Doctor: When it's revealed that Little Destiny is sick, Fionna asks Simon to help, since he's a doctor. Simon responds by saying that he's an antiquarian.
- Sealed Good in a Can: After having failed to hold back the Scarab in the previous episode, Prismo is shown to be confined to the surfaces of a small cube.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: Farmworld Finn's son Jay is secretly dating Little Destiny, the daughter of Big Destiny, the crime boss whose gang harasses his family. Fionna and Cake support their relationship and appear to be fans of the Forbidden Love and enemies to lovers tropes.
- Took A Level In Cynicism: The Farmworld version of Finn, due to his guilt over his actions as Ice Finn as well as his wife's passing.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Choose Bruce, the Farmworld version of Choose Goose, is shown to have become greedy since the last time he appeared since he cons Fionna out of her phone and gives her a fake crown before he attempts to use a club to smash them.
- Uncertain Doom: Farmworld Finn is last seen being impaled on the temple by Scarab; we don't see if he survived the attack or not.
