The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey is a teen literary series by Louise Rennison. A follow-up or spiritual successor to the Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series, it follows Georgia's cousin Tallulah, and her journey at Dother Hall, a performing arts college in Yorkshire.
The series comprises of:
- Withering Tights
- A Midsummer Tights Dream
- The Taming of the Tights
These books provide examples of:
- A-Cup Angst: Tallulah frequently talks about this, and is thrilled when her 'corkers' grow enough to wear a bra.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: ...Basically everyone.
- Cosmetic Catastrophe: Tallulah makes a face mask out of egg white and curry powder, in the hopes that she'll tan.
- Hands-Off Parenting: Tallulah's parents.
- Love Triangle: Charlie-Tallulah-Cain. Plus her major crush on Alex.
- Noodle Incident: The reason Dother Hall has no boys is because of a game called 'Twenty-Five in a Duvet Cover'.
- One-Gender School: Dother Hall. It once had boys, until the Noodle Incident.
- Parental Neglect: Tallulah's parents go away a lot, to the point where she doesn't think her family will really notice she's gone.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Jo is small, but extremely strong.
- Put on a Bus: Honey goes to Hollywood in the last book, but she still phones, at one point.
- Single-Minded Twins: Milly and Tilly, who even wear matching culottes at one point.
- Speech-Impeded Love Interest: Honey has both a lisp and a rhotacism, and is a boy magnet.
- Unresolved Sexual Tension: Between Talluah and Cain.
