Hazure Skill: The Guild Member with a Worthless Skill Is Actually a Legendary Assassin (Hazure Skill "Kage ga Usui" wo Motsu Guild Shokuin ga, Jitsu wa Densetsu no Ansatsusha) is a series of Light Novels written by Kennoji and illustrated by KWKM, which began in 2019. It also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Fuu Araki, which began the same year. The series is licensed in English by Yen Press.
Roland is an assassin who, one day, breaks from his team and single-handedly "kills" the Demon King (who is actually a girl). After returning to the kingdom, the king graciously promises Roland whatever he wants for his heroics. Conflicted in his desires — he hasn't thought of anything outside of killing for years—he remembers that one of his teammates told him what she plans to do after evil is defeated: Live a slow life. And so Roland, with his ability to blend perfectly into the crowd and the disguised demon king Leila at his side, decides to live a peaceful life.

- Hitman with a Heart: He has the skills and professionalism of an assassin but in the end, even he follows his own set of standards which is why he spares the Demon King.
- Standard Hero Reward: Averted. The King doesn't want to have his daughter to be married to Roland. Hence why he's relieved when Roland refuses.
