Galaxy Zack is a Children's Book series by Ray O'Ryan.

The series stars Zack Nelson, a young boy whos family has moved from Earth to the Planet Nebulon. At first, he's not too thrilled to have to leave behind the life he's built for himself on his home planet, and everything he's ever known, to come to a strange (literally alien) new world.

Thankfully, Nebulon seems to meet all of Zack's requirements of a good place to live. He's made a new friend, his new house's A.I. makes him feel comfortable, and thankfully the local language is the same as English.

The series then explores all the adventures that Zack has.

The series was published on April 2, 2013. So far, there are 17 books in the series:

  • Hello, Nebulon!
  • Journey to Juno
  • The Prehistoric Planet
  • Monsters in Space!
  • Three's a Crowd!
  • Green Christmas!
  • A Galactic Easter!
  • Drake Makes a Splash!
  • The Annoying Crush
  • Return to Earth!
  • Haunted Halloween!
  • Operation Twin Trouble
  • Science Fair Disaster!
  • Space Camp
  • Ready, Set, Blast Off!
  • Cosmic Blastoff!
  • Snow Place Like Home

Galaxy Zack contains examples of:

  • A.I.-cronym: The A.I. of the Nelson Family's new house on Nebulon is I.R.A., the Indoor Robotic Assistant.
  • An Alien Named "Bob": The people of Nebulon have very human names like Fred Stevens and Drake Taylor.
  • Automated Automobiles: "Hello, Nebulon!" shows that cars on Planet Nebulon drive themselves. All the passengers need to do is tell it where to go.
  • Finishing Each Other's Sentences: Zack's sisters, Charlotte and Cathy, tend to talk like this.
  • Flying Car: All the cars on Nebulon fly. So do the trains according to Zack's dad.
  • Hover Bike: Drake Taylor has one, as Zack discovers in "Hello, Nebulon!". It makes him want one of his own.
  • Humanoid Aliens: Nebuiltes. They're blue-skinned humanoid beings living on the planet Nebulon.
  • Interspecies Friendship: Zack Nelson, a human, makes friends with Drake Taylor, a Nebulite.
  • Moving Angst: Zack isn't happy to be moving away from Earth in "Hello, Nebulon!". He worries that he won't like the food, and the kids at his new school won't like him. Thankfully, neither proved true.
  • Smart House: The Nelson family's new home on Planet Nabulon is run by an A.I. named IRA. IRA serves the family their own personal meals at dinner, can wake up Zack with his favourite song (Rockin' Round the Stars by Retro Rockets), and helps Zack get ready for school the next day.
