Ultimate Spider-Man (2012)

Hilarious in Hindsight in this series.
  • Danny is the first person to berate Sam for implying that Harry's money was the only reason Peter was friends with him. Later on, Danny's background as heir to Rand Industries is mentioned in the series. This also doubles as Heartwarming in Hindsight.
  • During "Guardians of the Galaxy" Spidey laments being listed under Howard the Duck in a superhero popularity poll. Come the Guardians movie stinger, Howard makes a surprise cameo.
  • The fact that one of the reasons this show was made was because they wanted an adventure oriented show that was easy to jump into is especially hilarious due to the show's rather infamous status with the Continuity Lockout trope.
  • The web warriors can be considered as Spider-Man's Agents of S.M.A.S.H. complete with characters having the same powers and themes as him they even have a mole and both shows are made by Disney.
  • People comparing this show's version of Mary Jane Watson to Lois Lane find it amusing how Tara Strong, who voiced MJ in the show, would voice Lois herself on Justice League Action , and like with Spider-Man and MJ here, she isn't in a relationship with Superman.
    • Also, this show came out in 2012. One might wonder if Insomnia took a little inspiration from this for their Spider Man game.
  • The episode title "Miles from Home".
  • In Deadpool's episode, he uses "unalive" as a euphemism for killing Taskmaster. Fast-forward to the 2020s where "unalive" is common slang online.
