Heartwarming / Jay White

Go To

  • During the COVID-19 imposed downtime, Jay reveals that his favorite entrance comes from his 2019 G1 Climax final against Kota Ibushi. Forget the fact that he lost that match and has several momentous victories to choose from; he loved that entrance because it was the first time he was flanked to the ring by the entire united covenant of Bullet Club.
    • Knowing his history and the nature of his character is what truly reveals how welcome this is. On the one hand, Jay White was brought into New Japan Pro-Wrestling by Bad Luck Fale through Prince Devitt. On the other hand, early on into his Switchblade run he became a member of CHAOS and then proceeded to show his hand as the most treacherous competitor in all of NJPW, endlessly needling Kazuchika Okada and earning the resentment of all his stablemates. So after ditching CHAOS to spearhead the post-Elite refocusing of Bullet Club, his loyalty and intentions were a matter of curiosity; even though he seemed to fit right into the villainous win-at-all-costs credo of the BC, and was named the leader during the 2018 holiday season by Tama Tonga himself, many were not fully convinced he was in it for Bullet Club's success. For example, as soon as KENTA was brought in people started speculating the two would one-up each other for control of the club. But as he points out, the G1 final, it was earlier that same night that KENTA was brought in. In fact it was in that entrance that they shared their first too-sweet.
  • During the final nights of G1 climax 30, where Jay couldn't make it to the finals, Jay competed in a tag match with Ishimori and Kenta. After the match, he was quite shocked that a chair was already placed for him. He called over the lady who has been giving him chairs throughout the G1, hugging and thanking her for the chairs. The fact that the lady is actually Mima Shimoda, an accomplished joshi veteran in her own right, is just icing on the cake.
    • In Jay's Villainous Breakdown in which he lamented not having any help or sympathy in the aftermath of his loss to Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 15, the person who finally answered his complaints and aided him to his feet was none other than Mima.
    • During G1 32 in 2022, Jay began treating his post-match pressers as "episodes" of "The ToJay Show", with Bullet Club tag partners serving as his special guests. Midway through the tournament, he announced Mima Shimoda by name as the new "assistant and producer" of his show, even Too-Sweeting her and approving her as a peripheral member of Bullet Club.
