    For Their Sakes

Chapter Three: Found (And Lost)

  • Tensei visits Hawks at the hospital to thank him for saving him from Stain. He's genuinely grateful for the rescue rather than being resentful that a younger Hero helped him (which is the reaction Hawks is used to getting from older Heroes).
  • When Hawks is worried about training three interns, White (Todoroki) reassures Hawks that he could never train the interns like the Commission trained him and that he'll be a great teacher. This is coming from Todoroki, who knows how far over the line training can go thanks to his father. He has complete faith in Hawks' ability to help the interns grow without resorting to unnecessarily brutal training methods.
  • Tensei and Miruko's team up to protect Hawks from the media and Commission. Tensei distracts the reporters while Miruko stays with Hawks and makes sure the Commission agent does not drag him to HQ right after he got out of the hospital.

Chapter Four: Bully

  • Orange (Bakugo) corrects Silver and says that All Might's successor (Midoriya) is not a replacement for the Symbol of Peace but is better than him, showing just how much Orange grew to respect Deku. Green is genuinely touched.
  • Hawks' protectiveness of Shoto. He's willing to stand up to Endeavor (a Hero he has admired since childhood who is twice his size and is currently trying to pressure him into rejecting Shoto's internship request) to ensure that Shoto can choose his own path as a Hero.
  • Miruko offers her home for Hawks to stay at after he's told he lost his apartment. She takes Hawks' dissociation episodes in stride and stays with him when she could have left him alone.
  • All Might gives Hawks Toshinori Yagi's number. He trusts him with his civilian identity's name, though he does not tell Hawks it is him.

Chapter Seven: Someone to Listen

  • Hawks went through the trouble to find out Shoto and Iida's coffee preferences so he could surprise them. It's also an indicator that he's forgiven them for their actions at Hosu.
  • Hawks calls Toshinori in the middle of the night in a panic after having a nightmare about Future Tokoyami's death. This is the first time he's spoken to Toshinori (not All Might) but rather than be upset about the hour or press Hawks for answers, Toshinori calms him down.
  • Shoto has decided why he wants to be a Hero: to reassure people that everything is going to be okay and that they are safe when he is there.

Chapter Eight: Ready Or Not

  • Hawks (technically Pink) panics when Miruko lifts him over her shoulder and Judo flips her. Miruko realizes it was a trauma-based reaction and does not blame or tease him at all. She calms him down by jokingly saying it was karma for kicking his interns' asses earlier and asks if he wants to get dinner.
  • Orange apologizes for trying to take over Hawks' body by force when Dark Shadow went out of control. He's genuinely remorseful and apologized of his own volition without anyone having to prod him into it. Bakugo has come a long way from the arrogant bully who called everyone else extras. On Hawks' part, he accepts Orange's apology immediately.
  • Even after the attempted body-theft, Hawks trusts the Voices with his body and lets them use it to go rescue Eri from Overhaul.

Chapter Thirteen: The Meeting

  • Why Jeanist and Tsukauchi came to rescue Hawks from the Commission's questioning. When Miruko calls them, they immediately drop what they are doing and go to help Hawks simply because he was in trouble.
  • It's a bit muddled because of Hawks' addled mental state, but how Jeanist and Tsukauchi treat him on the ride to Mockingjay's. They're careful not to startle him, don't ask questions that will upset him, and repeat answers to his questions no matter how many times he already asked without becoming annoyed. It's also clear to the audience (but not Hawks) that they're not angry at him, but the Commission.
  • Jeanist lets Hawks (who is bloody and dirty) lean on him for support, though Hawks quickly grows nervous and backs away from him.
    Mockingjay: Origin
  • Haymitch takes Katniss under his wing and teaches her to become a Hero because she's the one person who stopped to help a stumbling drunk get home safely. He may pretend to be a grumpy and bitter man, but he's the one adult who supports Katniss' dream to become a Hero and trains her to make sure she has the best chance to succeed.
  • Haymitch does everything he can to find Katniss after she's kidnapped; As in he intentionally goes back into the public eye of the Hero Society that turned on him in order to stir up a media frenzy and force Hero Society to look into the missing children cases, which exposes and shuts down the Quirk Games. All to find Katniss. Haymitch may not be her biological father, but he's definitely her Papa Wolf.
