• The epilogue reveals that little Sarah Jennings made the Hunters' shields into a beautifully-painted memorial, and later wrote a book called "Mgalekgolo and Me: An Illustrated Fable".
  • Sarah seems to be a magnet for CMOH's.
• David Perry survives, marries the only other surviving pilot ("Elaina Santos, call-sign Strongarm, was a notoriously bellicose woman. Cute too."), has two children, and sets up a successful shipping business named after his friend Zuka.
• The Burtes sneak into the place where all the children are being kept safe. When the Brutes reveal themselves, the children start screaming. The instant they hear human children screaming, the Hunter twins make a beeline for the place, kool-aid-man through several walls, and pulverize every surviving Brute there.
