  • K. Roth's "children's book."
  • "That organ means I'm doomed, huh?" "The card means you're doomed. The organ's for effect."
  • K. Roth sees someone who he thinks is his father and chases after him, which leads to him and Mills accidentally crashing a funeral service.
    K. Roth: (painfully awkward smile) I'm sure he was a lovely man.
    Mills: (checking the coffin) Woman.
    K. Roth: Woman. And as someone who is dying soon, I look forward to meeting her in the afterlife. ...Which may or may not exist. (runs off) FATHER!
  • "Collect all the stamps you can. If you control all the postage, how can they send you threatening letters?"
  • "Do you think it's God's fault?"
  • After K. Roth finds religion:
    "Jesus Christ, this is a long driveway. God dammit, just broke a rule! ...Shit. Mills, go ahead and flog me."
  • K. Roth asks his former nanny's husband if he can take her out on a date for his last day. When he of course said "no," K. Roth offers her his arm while glaring at the husband, snarking, "Well, my whole life has been awkward. Why stop now?"
