Like with its mod of origin, Indie Cross: The Series and Indie Cross Aftermath have their own abundance of comedy all over the place.
- The Curbstomp Battle in Bendy vs. Sans Part 2, with Nightmare Sans totalling the Ink Demon with as much energy as making a pun.
- The Stinger to Bendy vs. Sans Part 3 has Cuphead and Hank do a high-five between each other. Cue a Smash Cut with Cuphead holding his hand while screaming in agony.
- At the climax of the first drone battle, the drone, seeing Cuphead's electricity attack about to land on top of it, just looks to the screen before it gets fried, as if to say "Welp. Guess I'll die.".
- In Frisk's introduction, they arrive in the world of Hollow Knight. But no sooner do they appear than they tumble downwards.
- During their escape from the drones, Shovel Knight and Cuphead get into quite a bit of bickering.Cuphead: Get off! I can take 'em with my eyes closed!
Shovel Knight: Now is not the time for big talk, magic flask!
Cuphead: I am a Cup! >:c
Shovel Knight: A fountain of different offerings is still a fountain.
Cuphead: You don't get around much, do ya? - Cuphead slips out of Shovel Knight's grasp soon after, only to realise he's standing off the edge of a cliff. Cue him tumbling off-screen (complete with a Wacky Sound Effect) before Shovel Knight follows him.
- Right before their fight begins, Cuphead and Shovel Knight engage in Snark-to-Snark Combat between each other.Cuphead: Stand... down.
Shovel Knight: I'm afraid you will have to remove my legs if you ever expect me to kneel, stranger.
Cuphead: The name's Cuphead, and you're crossing the line!
Shovel Knight: Cross it, foe!
Cuphead: Alright, ya ding-dong!
Shovel Knight: Absent minded buffoon!
Cuphead: Goofball!
Shovel Knight: Magic flask!
Cuphead: I'M! A! CUUUUP! - During her Chase Fight with Frisk, Madeline kicks their frying pan back at them, causing it to crash into their face, leaving a mark that looks just like their stoic "-_-" face. While they do quickly throw it back and not let it hinder their attack, it is still pretty funny in the moment.
- After fending off Frisk, Madeline and Badeline come across the shade counterpart of the Knight. The real Knight soon pops up unceremoniously between them, much to their shock (which makes this moments page's image), before going to recollect their shade.
- Following their fight, Cuphead makes a dying wish when he thinks he won't survive his injuries. It ends out being a lot more funny than he intended, Shovel Knight seeing that he has good will overall.
- After the two have buried the hatchet, Shovel Knight repeatedly refers to Mugman as "Mugsie" because of Cuphead saying it in his dying wish, causing the Cup to burst into laughter each time. And Shovel Knight can't even put his finger on what's amusing Cuphead so much.Shovel Knight: This... Elder Kettle and Mugsie-.
Cuphead: (quietly sniggering)
Shovel Knight: Excuse me?
Cuphead: Oh, nonono, don't mind me.
Shovel Knight: You seem to embolden mighty strength for those you would consider as... family. My wounds still carry, but your life depends on remaining stronger, for Elder Kettle and Mugsie-!
Cuphead: (starts laughing again)
Shovel Knight: (utterly confused) Okay, what is this? What brings you merry and jolly?
Shovel Knight: I'm sure you must be missing your family. Elder Kettle and Mugsie-
Cuphead: (immediately bursts into laughter)
Shovel Knight: GREAT HEAVENS IS THAT NOT HIS NAME?! YEE JESTER OF YONDER, I WILL SMITE YOU DOW- - During their walk, Shovel Knight proclaims that he'd never give away the secret of his abilities... only to do so anyway. Cuphead lampshades this right before he does so.
- The message that flashes on the Machine's screen once it's severely damaged.ENERGY CRITICALLY LOW
