• Acting for Two: In the series, Will Ryan of DAGames voices both Shovel Knight and Cuphead, while Chloe Eves voices Madeline and Badeline.
• Queer Character, Queer Actor: Madeline, who was confirmed by the developers of Celeste to be transgender, is voiced here by non-binary actor Chloe Eves.
• Role Reprise: DAGames, one of the composers for Indie Cross and the voice of Cuphead for it, reprises his role during Cuphead vs. Choo Choo Charles, alongside the main series itself.
