A reminder of the rules of Fridge Brilliance:

This is a personal moment for the viewer, but follows the same rules as normal pages, meaning no first person or natter. If you start off with "This Troper", really, you have no excuse. We're going to hit you on the head.

This revelation can come from anywhere, even from this very page.

Also, this page is of a generally positive nature, and a Fridge Brilliance does not have to be Word of God. In fact, it usually isn't, and the viewer might be putting more thought into it than the creator ever did. This is not a place for personal commentary on another's remark or arguing without adding a Fridge Brilliance comment of your own.

Fridge Brilliance

  • The meeting between DIO and Yami Yugi actually makes quite alot of sense.
    • For starters, DIO was in Egypt during Jojo Part 3, while Yami was a Pharaoh in Egypt 3 to 5 thousand years ago.
    • Second, the monsters Yugi calls on in-game actually matches up with the Theme Naming of Stands in Jojo Part 3. Dark Magician follows the initial stand naming, usually a color and a tarot card name (in this case, "Dark/Black" and "The Magician" tarot card). Meanwhile Slifer the Sky Dragon/Sky Dragon of Osiris follows the later Theme Naming of DIO's Praetorian Guard, the 9 Glory Gods of Egypt. Arguably speaking, Dark Magician Girl could be seen as a connection to the final bit of Musical Theme Naming that Jojo is known for. If we take the Japanese name (Black Magician Girl), if we change out "Girl" with "Woman" and shorten "Magician" to "Magic", it would become "Black Magic Woman" which fits with a Santana song of the same name!
    • Furthermore, Yugi's Osiris shares the name of a Stand, whose user, fittingly enough, loved playing games with people. Just like Yugi!
  • Why is Namek the stage chosen for unlocking the light element? Because DIO, a vampire, is not playable on Namek, which has 3 suns! He'd die instantly no matter what world he's in! He's also one of the few characters who has a very low resistance to the light element.
  • When Jotaro is recruited, he exasperatedly comments on the fact that everyone looks like they popped out of a comic book. One could easily mistake this for Hypocritical Humor at first, but when you think about it, it makes sense. Compared to the art styles and designs of the rest of the characters, Jotaro’s art style and design is the most realistic. This extends to his world’s “historian”, who adapted a more realistic art style from Steel Ball Run onwards.
    • This can apply to the Jump Worlds themselves too. Unlike most of the Jump Worlds, which have fictional countries with their own histories, Jotaro’s world is identical to the real world except with an alternate history and bizarre, supernatural happenings.
      • This can also apply to the rules of Jotaro’s world. In the cutscene before the mission where you’re paired up with him and Seiya, the latter claims the Saints in his world can move faster than the speed of sound or light only for Jotaro to lampshade the fact that the human body isn’t capable of handling such incredible speed.
  • Why is Silbern fortress located in Mexico? Anyone who is familiar with Bleach knows of Kubo's familiarity with the country. He uses numerous Spanish words and names in his work, the only other language to have as big an impact on him is German, and since the Black Forest isn't a level in the game, Silbern fortress being located in Mexico is the next best thing and a fitting touch.
  • The game’s Unintentional Uncanny Valley look with its characters arguably makes sense, as they are Manga characters in the real world they do not look or move like a Real Life human should as demonstrated here.
  • In the story campaign, the titular group contains three squads led by Jump's biggest stars. Team Alpha is led by Son Goku which repels invaders. Team Beta is led by Monkey D. Luffy which reclaims territories from the invaders. Finally, Team Gamma is led by Naruto Uzumaki whose main job is stealthy reconnaissance. At first glance, it might look like it's pandering to Jump's three biggest Manga, but at closer inspection, they all fit in with what the respected heroes do in their manga. Goku was repeatedly able to protect Earth from alien invaders, meanwhile, Luffy liberated islands from oppressive forces, and finally, Naruto is the (Naruto) World's Greatest Ninja in a world full of them.
    • Even the characters working under them have a reason for joining up with their respective teams:
      • Team Alpha consists of Piccolo who is a voice of reason for Goku, Zoro who has a habit of getting himself lost meaning wandering off wouldn't be a good idea and Gaara who is famous for having "the ultimate defence."
      • Team Beta has Sanji who is a voice of reason for Luffy, Hancock would join Luffy because of her infatuation with him, Boruto has stated that he doesn't want to be like his dad and wants to find his own way and finally, Vegeta loves a good fight.
      • Team Gamma has both Kakashi and Sasuke who are from the same team as Naruto and are ninja themselves, Trunks who doesn't have the typical Saiyan's love for battle as a result of a bad future. and Sabo who works for the Revolution Army which mostly operates on stealth.
  • The Hong Kong stage having several One Piece ships - historically Hong Kong started as a port town and fishing harbour, and as the official reveal states, is a harbour city.
    • Harbour City is also the name of a shopping mall complex in the Yau Tsim Mong district, which is the district the stage takes place in.
