Trollhunters: The Phantom Trollhunter(Part One) is a Danny Phantom and Trollhunters crossover fic.

A New Life is a Prequel detailing how Dani was adopted by the Lakes.

When Danielle "Dani" Lake was adopted by Barbara Lake, she'd thought she FINALLY have a normal life. That was, until her adoptive brother Jim Lake was chosen by the Amulet of Daylight and became the new Trollhunter, sparking a new series of adventures for Dani, Jim and their best friend Toby, while trying to avoid being killed on a daily basis. Then again, normal is SO overrated.

Tropes:

  • Anti-Magic
    • The Sword of Daylight is apparently enchanted against ghostly powers, as when Dani tries to turn it intangible to allow Jim to pull it out of the rock he got it stuck in, it repels her clear to the other side of the yard.
    • Trollmarket is protected by wards that keep ghosts from simply phasing in.
  • Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: Dani, surprised to find out that trolls exist, makes a comment about it, saying that ghosts were bad enough, wondering if she's going to encounter werewolves next, and only realizes that she said it aloud due to the reactions of the others.
  • Happily Adopted: Thanks to Clockwork's manipulations, Dani ends up being adopted by Barbara and becomes Jim's sister.
  • Mind over Matter: Telekinesis is one of Dani's powers, with Dani noting that only about 50% of ghosts develop the power. Apparently, hers is actually stronger than Danny's, for some reason.
  • Mundane Utility: Dani has used her powers for this on occasion, like using invisibility to stay hidden when playing hide-and-seek, getting extra airtime on her bike with flight, floating around the house when Jim and Barbara are gone, using telekinesis to float a remote to her hand, etc.
  • Scars Are Forever: The wounds on Dani's back from the ghost fight that led her to try and steal medical supplies from the Arcadia Oaks hospital are bad enough that even with her Healing Factor, they still scar over, and occasionally bother her with twinges of phantom pain if she moves the wrong way even four years later.
  • Time Skip: There's a gap of a few years in-between the story where Dani is adopted and the main story, which starts right where the first Trollhunters episode begins.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Basically Dani's reaction when she finds out that trolls also exist.
