The Fic Where You Ask Hamilton Characters Your Question is an askbox/interactive Fan Fic of Hamilton by IAmHoussem17, posted on Archive of Our Own.
As the title suggests, Houssem (called Mr Author within the fic) takes questions posed by commentators for the characters of the musical and answers them.

Tropes found in the fic:
- Ambiguously Bi: James Madison. He really is close to Thomas, and the first hint that we see is him agreeing with Alexander and Thomas that Jamilton should have never existed.
- Big "SHUT UP!": Thomas shouts these at Alexander sometimes.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Starting from chapter 4, Mr Author starts interacting directly with the characters and at one point, Alexander even "attacks him".
- Character Development: Surprising, given the kind of fic it is. It can be mostly seen with Alexander and Thomas becoming more cordial.
- Gratuitous French: Who else but Lafayette?
- Deadpan Snarker: Aaron and James fill this role, especially in regards to Alexander and Thomas.
- It's All About Me: Alexander corrects one user who asked if they've seen the musical and says that it's his musical.
- Rage Against the Author: Alexander starts getting really irritated at the author and eventually finds him and harms him, temporarily taking over as the author.
- Running Gag: Alexander "gasping in betrayed". Lampshaded by the author.
- Shipper on Deck: Eliza, despite being married to Alex, tells him that he and John would've been cute together. Apparently everyone else is also a Lams shipper.
- No one has qualms about Theo Jr and Philip being together. In fact, they think it's very cute.
- Ship Sinking: The very first question is about Jamilton. Alex and Thomas (in a rare moment of agreement) do this, with James agreeing.
- Suddenly Shouting: Alexander, oh so much. Thomas too.
