“Catra,” she said again, her voice so small in the quiet. She didn’t know if Catra could hear her but she pressed on, eyes still streaming with tears, “Catra I… I can’t go back there. Not now. I... The Horde… I can’t fight for them not… not after this…” She blinked away her tears. “Not after what they did to… to you Catra.” She sobbed. “I can’t just watch them hurt you anymore Catra!”

Adora reaches her hand out to Catra at Thaymor. And Catra accepts it. Now the two of them join Glimmer and Bow to form a New Princess Alliance.

But the Horde aren't going to just disappear. Shadow Weaver wants Adora back and Hordak wants the Rebellion gone.

Shadow Weaver leaves both tasks in the hands of Force Captain Nightshade and Force Sergeant Whisper. She knows they won't fail. They know that Hordak must win this war...

This fanfic provides examples of:

Castaspella: "If there is one thing that has been consistent about that woman throughout her life it is her obsession with power. With control. If she cannot be the most powerful she will create and then she will control the most powerful."
  • Darker and Edgier: The story is noticably darker than its source matirial with characters being injured and the horrors of war shown to a degree.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Adora running after Catra before she could leave in “The Sword Part 2” leads to her joining Adora at the start of the series instead of near the end of it.
  • Inspite Of A Nail: Entrapta is still left behind in the Fright Zone during the attempt to rescue those captured during princes prom.
  • Lightning Gun: The horde at one point manufactured eighty-eight volt guns which have settings from 'stun' to 'lethal'. Nightshade uses two.
  • Noodle Incident: Naval training is an event from Adora and Catra's past thats brought up several times, but all we know about is that it was very embarrassing for Catra.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: In Chapter 14, Castaspella reveals to Catra that she was also The Un-Favorite to Shadow Weaver.
  • Original Character: Nightshade and Whisper who were relegated to Punishment Detail doing Fright Zone’s maintenance in the past, but are pulled out and reinstated by Shadow Weaver to reclaim Adora and dispose of Catra.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The Coral Drake serves drinks known as Elrics in both Alphonse and Edward varieties.
    • Force Major Grimtusk is explicitly stated to be a Loxidon.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Gimmer and Catra are this. They mess with each other every chance they get and call each other Sparkles and Horde Scum respectively. However, they trust each other and have the other's back no matter what.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Nightshade and Whisper can be seen as this. The two of them know about Horde Prime and thus belive that the best way to stop him from destroying Etheria is for Hordak to rule the planet.
  • Wham Episode: Chapter 23 shows how Nightshade got so high up in the Horde so quickly. He killed Princess Aroma, Perfuma's mother. At the same time Adora learns how she came to Etheria.
  • What If?: What if Catra joined Adora at Thaymor?
