ReBoot: ReJuvenated
is an AU made by Izztreme with the main premise of breaking apart ReBoot and having as many changes it could possibly get away with while still having some recognizably in any form, mostly within characters and worldbuilding. It also has rewrites of episodes from the original show as well as original episodes of its own.
ReBoot: ReJuvenated contains examples of:
- Adaptational Jerkass: In the original, Dot is cool tempered and the most level-headed character of the cast. Here, Dot is very hot-blooded and has the tendency to snap at people, especially Red, who likes to provoke her for fun.
- Adaptational Personality Change: The main trio gets hit with this severely, being heavily altered from their original counterparts.
- Bob shows very little emotion (apart from his eye color changing to indicate as such), speaks in a monotone, empty voice, and always comes off as cold and unfeeling, even if they aren't.
- Dot has a very short-temper, is a hot-blooded perfectionist, and is always tired.
- Enzo has his brattiness turned down and is more kind and optimistic.
- Brutal Honesty: Bob tells it how it is without hesitation and emotion.
- Cyberspace: It's still ReBoot, even when it's as different as it is.
- Enraged by Idiocy: Dot does not appreciate Red's goofy antics.
- Good Is Not Nice: Dot may have a massively short temper and tends to get aggressive, but she still believes in helping others regardless of whether they make her angry or not.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Dot, straight up. And she gets aggressive when angered.
- The Heart: Enzo takes this role in this fic, being the heart and soul of the anger-ridded Dot and the robotic, blank Bob.
- Living Mood Ring: Due to Bob's lack of expression, his eyes change colors to indicate what emotion they're feeling.
- The Stoic: Bob isn't quite able to express his emotions outside of eye color change and speaks with nothing but a monotone voice.
