A Song of Magic
(AO3 link) is a fanfiction by Titosch. It's a crossover story between Naruto and A Song of Ice and Fire.
In the midst of his battle against Obito Naruto finds himself transported to Yi Ti, in the far eastern of the continent of Essos some 20 years before Robert's rebellion. Now alone in the unfamiliar world, Naruto must find his way as he was dragged through this new life.

This fanfiction contains examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: Ashara is capable of skinchanging into her eagle Morning, and is more than willing to use this talent to help in battle.
- Adaptational Backstory Change: The fanfic reveals Quaithe's real identity to be Shiera Seastar, something that is never stated or even implied in the books.
- Break His Heart to Save Him: Quaithe ended her relationship with Naruto because she genuinely believes it to be the only way to bring the dragons back, even trying to convince Naruto that she never felt anything to him. It doesn't work to convince him, but they're bitterly separated anyway.
- Book Dumb: Downplayed as Naruto wasn't as bad at studying as when he was a kid, though he still finds himself bored to tears at any theoretical work when he attended the Citadel and mostly prefers disciplines with more practical learning like ravenry, medicines and herblore.
- Breather Episode: The Oldtown chapters. It was set in the few months between the Tourney at Harrenhal and the subsequent Robert's Rebellion, with the story focusing on Naruto's experience in the Citadel.
- Death by Adaptation: Naruto killed King Aerys near the start of Robert's rebellion.
- Fights Like a Normal: Despite losing most of his powers, using what little chakra he has access to enhance his physical ability combined with Naruto's own training and experience is enough to turn him to an unstoppable juggernaut in the ASOIAF world, to the point he needs to consciously hold his full strength if he doesn't want to accidentally kill his opponents.
- Helmets Are Hardly Heroic: Naruto finds helmet too restricting for his senses so he rarely wears them in battle. The only time he does wear one so far is when he dons an open-faced helmet in the Harrenhal's melee, and that's only because of the tourney rules.
- Heroic BSoD: After finding out that he isn't trapped in a genjutsu and has no chance to actually return home Naruto spent several days being despondent in Qarth until he meets Quaithe.
- Language Barrier: A big problem for Naruto at first when he found himself in transported to Yi Ti where no one can speak his language. It took him around 1 month before he can communicate somewhat decently with the locals.
- May–December Romance: The teenage Naruto had a short-lived relationship with Quaithe actually Shiera Seastar who's around a century old, give or take.
- Named by the Adaptation: Ashara's oldest brother and Edric's canonically still unnamed father is named Alaric here.
- Nerf: Naruto barely has enough chakra to form a single clone in Planetos, much less any of his more chakra intensive jutsus. This limitation force him to focus on subtler and more efficient use of his chakra instead of simply stomping the entire setting flat with brute power.
- One-Man Army: As limited as his chakra in Planetos is, it's still enough to give Naruto superpowers in a world where the majority are completely normal humans, which combined with his skill and experience means he can beat a sizable number of men by himself easily. Case in point is when the Graftons attempted a sneak attack on Dragonstone. Naruto personally killed an entire ship worth of men on and sunk three more, all on his lonesome.
- Trapped in Another World: The story was kicked off by Naruto being transported to Planetos during his battle against Obito. The circumtances weren't clear, but it seemed to be completely accidental.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Naruto's chance encounter with Brandon on the road during his search for Prince Rhaegar ended up having a tragic repercussion for the latter. Unbeknownst to Naruto at the time, Brandon is looking for Lyanna and he puts two and two together after Naruto asked him if he had crossed paths with Rhaegar not long before. This results in Brandon bringing his party to King's Landing to look for Rhaegar and the rest is history. Naruto is harboring immense guilt for his part of the incident afterward, though nothing could've been done by the time he found out save rescuing the Sole Survivor Ethan Glover.
- Wartime Wedding: Naruto and Ashara married at the beginning of Robert's Rebellion.
- You Can't Go Home Again: Despite his suspicion otherwise, Naruto convinced himself that he was trapped in a genjutsu instead of being transported to another world and kept trying to find a way back home. It's not until Kurama bluntly told him that Naruto finally accepted he is no longer in his world and he won't be able return.
