This story has the following Tropes:

  • Big "WHAT?!": Misato gives us two of these during the story, both in response to something that Captain America Mari has done.
  • Call-Back: To the Voltron/Robotech mini-series by Dynamite Entertainment, both the full-blown fusion that is glimpsed on the very final issue and Roy Fokker's line about how he wanted a Blazing Sword of his own for his Veritech when he saw it in action (and he gets to show off on his test flight for Stingray).
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: Kanami Yuta has this power in addition to her canonical abilities, and can predict when things of value are about to arrive in the Core Timeline.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: This story focuses on Sylia Stingray as she goes about her day.
  • Noodle Incident: We never do find out what Mari did to make Misato screech in outrage near the end of the story.
  • Sequel Hook: What Kanami manages to see on her vision? The arrival of the Infinity Stones—ones from a universe based on Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, to boot.
  • Super Wheelchair: A gift from the people of The Forge to Sylia is a motorized wheelchair that can transform into a suit of Powered Armor that allows her to walk again, M.A.N.T.I.S.-style.
  • Transforming Mecha: Stingray Industries is developing a new kind of Veritech fighter... with elements of the original Voltron's Magitek.
  • When Dimensions Collide: Happens so often on the Fictional multiverse (thanks to a lot of writers) that there is a term for the shards of the universes-that-may-have-been-or-were-for-a-short-while that perform a (well, sort of) successful Incursion into the Core Timeline: "Universe Shrapnel".
