The Adventures of Doctor Whooves is a story done by Time Pony Victorious and it's your basic Doctor Who and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic affair. The illustrious rogue Time Lord, the Doctor, falls into the My Little Pony universe after certain complications with his TARDIS and is thrown into a world of magic, miffed unicorns, and secret, evil plans. Though he may be a pony, the Doctor is more than eager enough to jump into adventure and save the universe, things never change, I suppose.
The series is in-progress with around 70+ chapters estimated for the first series alone.
This series provides examples of:
- And I Must Scream: The Rainbow Phoenix, mother of all the phoenixes, suffers one as she kept trapped under a black hole in order to keep a Sky Island afloat.
- Badass Boast: In the Christmas special, the Doctor attempts one while confronting an invisible enemy.Doctor: (After being thrown around) “I’m the Doctor! The Oncoming Storm, Bringer of Darkness, don’t"- CRASH! -“Make me”— CRASH! “Fight you!”
- Bigger on the Inside: The TARDIS
- Compound Title: Chapters 15-17 become one in a clever, if sad, way.
- The Dreaded: Nightmare Moon is one for Applejack and Pinkie Pie, while the Valeyard, and even the 13th Doctor, is one for the 12th Doctor.
- Foreshadowing:
- In one of the first stories, we're introduced to a dark, calculative force manipulating the Monster of the Week and is implied to have foreknowledge of the Doctor.
- In the first few chapters while Rainbow Dash is trying to come up with an idea for an adventure, perusing through a book about mythology, Twilight observes that a theory explains that the Changelings came from the moon. The Doctor, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie encounter Changelings originating from the Moon!
- In the more recent chapters, The Valeyard is brought up and, in the same chapter, the 13th Doctor makes an appearance
- Have We Met Yet?: In the Christmas Special, Princess Luna encounters the Doctor and implies that she knew the Doctor in the future, a sort of River Song situation, which greatly irritates the Doctor.
- The Nth Doctor: We're dealing with the 12th Doctor who shares traits from the 10th and 11th Doctor, also the 13th Doctor makes an appearance.
- Shout-Out: The Doctor muses at the thought of being a horsey Time Lord
- Technicolor Eyes: The Doctor is described having Supernatural Gold Eyes (though less evil, of course)
- Time Travel: Well, considering the source medium that isn't much of a surprise.
