Martin Rosenblatt, better known as Ross Martin (March 22, 1920 – July 3, 1981) was an American radio, voice, stage, film and television actor.
Born to Polish Jewish parents in Gródek, then-Poland (nowadays Horodok, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine), he emigrated to New York City with them when he was a child. In spite of academically training in business, instruction and law, he chose a career in acting.
He wound up being best known for portraying Master of Disguise and Gadgeteer Genius Artemus Gordon on the CBS series that gave birth to the Cattle Punk genre, The Wild Wild West, alongside Robert Conrad as James West.
He died of a brutal heart attack at age 61 on July 3, 1981 while playing tennis.
