"There we are again"
Frank Busch (b. August 24, 1989), better known as Farvann is a German YouTuber known for his skits about metal music (specifically Black Metal). He is also known to play in 2 very obscure metal bands: a Grindcore band which goes by the name of "Document 6" and his own solo project named "Durbatuluk".

In all of his skits, he is known to play every single character because his friends aren't interested in starring in any of his videos. Some of his skits are about a stereotypical black metal, what normal stuff sounds like to fans of Black Metal, or simple tutorials on how to make various styles of heavy metal music (He has made tutorials on Melodic Black Metal, Stoner Metal, Thrash Metal. He has even made tutorials on bands such as Rammstein and Inquisition).

He also does Q&As about Music (one time, he did a Q&A where all the questions were asked by Females) and he even reacts to memes of himself (most of which he enjoys, but he finds some of them to be poorly made). He is also known to poke fun at Metal Elitists, as seen in These.videos

Last year, he also made a series called "High Gain" which consisted of 8 episodes. It was about 2 metalheads who decide to form a black metal band, little did they know that they would come across a time traveller/expert Drummer named "Derek". Eventually, a money-hungry vocalist named "Vincent" joins the band and it all goes downhill from there.

I already got six tropes of Transylvanian Hunger, oh why not take the seventh one?!:

  • Nobody Loves the Bassist: In almost every single one of band skits, the bassist is the one character that everyone hates. In "How Black/Death Metal is made", the bassist is told to "shut up" when he tries to suggest something. Not to mention that he's portrayed as a weird, naive child. In "A Metal Band needs Help", the bassist is portrayed as depressed because his band members don't appreciate him. Also, in the fourth episode of High Gain. When Derek asks if he's late, Derek responds with "considering you're a bassist, no ".
  • The Alcoholic: Frank tends to drink a lot, but he sometimes tends to drink non alcoholic beer (as recently seen in his Thrash Metal Tutorial, although he did say it's just for the video).
  • Narcissist: In his band videos, the vocalist character is usually this. He tends to have quite a big ego in the aforementioned How Black/Death metal is Made video. Also, in Why you should start a one man project (or not?), he goes off at the drummer for "playing the same beat in the same tempo" then he goes off at the bassist. This causes the band to split and the Guitarist/Vocalist creates a one man project.
  • Satire: Most of his videos consist of innocent, fun satire. Especially his tutorials.
  • Rock is Authentic, Pop is Shallow: Yep, he's another metalhead who hates pop music. It can be clearly seen in when Pop music fans listen to Metal for the first time and When Metal heads listen to pop music for the first time. In both videos, he portrays the Pop listener as a boneheaded individual.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In The Black Metal Traitor. The guitarist signs the band to "Party Party Bang Boom Bang Records" (which turns out to be a company that produces pop records, hence its name). Throughout the rehearsal, he is constantly called by the manager to make some "minor changes" (like changing to drums to the style of Billie Eilish's new album). When the album was finished, The drummer showed the other members a sample of what the album sounded like when they recorded it. When they hear the actual finished product, the bassist almost spits his beer out and the drummer tells him to leave the room. When he gets inside of his car, it instantly explodes (killing him instantly). Jeez, All this over a bad album?
    • There's also this scene in Awkward Black Metal Interview where "Goatpriest" snaps at the interviewer for simply asking dumb questions. Even going as far as to call him a "dumb motherfucker". Even before he snaps, he presents himself as a very intimidating figure.
  • Black Metal: It really shouldn't be surprising that his channel focuses on Black Metal, as his very first video features him covering an inquisition song.
  • Gratuitous German: Considering that he was born in Germany, it really shouldn't come off as a surprise that Frank is extremely fluent in German. He can be seen speaking German in several of his videos, but a good example would be The German Stereotype Band Member where the Bassist asks the Guitarist "if you germans are so accurate and precise, then why did you lose two world wars?" to which the guitarist responds with "Wäre es in Russland nicht so kalt gewesen, hätten wir den Krieg gewonnen und ich müsste mich nicht mit solchen törichten Fragen rumschlagen" which translates to "If it hadn't been so cold in Russia, we would have won the war and I wouldn't have to deal with such stupid questions".
  • Deadpan Snarker: Every now and then, he is prone to really snarky comments.
