Composite Character / A Clash of NEETs

Go To

The main thrust of this crossover - various KonoSuba characters are reincarnated as and/or in place of the children of Westerosi families - can be summed up as this trope on first glance. As the fic goes on, it gets a bit more complicated, as befitting A Song of Ice and Fire...

Reincarnators

  • Kazuma takes the place of Joffrey Baratheon, given his status as the oldest of Cersei and Robert's (actually Jaime's) children, his betrothal to one of the Stark's daughters, and the attention he receives from Cersei. However, he winds up finding common ground with and betrothed to Megumin, who takes Arya's place - giving him elements of Robert's bastard son, Gendry. The nature of his relationship with Tyrion may seem similar Podrick Payne.
  • Megumin essentially takes Arya's place, as shown by her desire to become a fighter rather than a lady, her getting into an altercation with the oldest of Cersei's children early on into their visit, and winds up training under Syrio Forel. However, her betrothal and relationship with Kazuma give her aspects of Sansa - albeit in a much healthier manner than canon.
    • On a related note, her direwolf, Chomusuke, is said to be taking the place of Nymeria, Arya's canon direwolf.
  • Yunyun is the eldest Stark sister, though here she and Megumin are twins. Much like Sansa, she wishes to be a proper lady. However, she's also obsessed with making friends to the point that she's befriended practically every character she meets, and the notable exception is a glaring one.
  • Komekko is a Gender Flip version of Bran Stark, being the same age as Bran and having strange mystic powers and a propensity for climbing. However, she also seems semi-aware of her status as a reincarnator and keeps Vanir as a companion.
  • Darkness takes the place of Margaery Tyrell and continues her streak of perversion and masochism, much to the collective embarrassment of her new family. Unlike her ASOIAF counterpart, Darkness is once more obsessed with being a knight, causing further issues in gender segregated Westeros.
  • Iris Stylish Sword Belzerg is once more a princess, this time as Daenerys Targaryen. She shares Daenerys immunity to flame and magical talents, but unlike Daenerys is a Pretty Princess Powerhouse who seems an excellent candidate for World's Best Warrior as here the Stormborn is blessed by the Goddess Athena to be a fighter without peer. This is similar to her source material, where she was easily the strongest character in Konosuba. She also seems to be suffering from the Targaryen madness, as she's rather Axe-Crazy.
  • Dust arrives in the form of Prince Trystane Martell and is once more Kazuma's best friend, apparently having gotten up to some shenanigans together in the past.
  • Chris shows up as Darkness's friend again, taking the form of a Gender Flip of Edric Dayne though her back story is something of a mystery currently. As it turns out, instead of being an avatar of Eris, she's the daughter of Eris and Ashara Dayne.
  • Claire, Iris's bodyguard, is reborn as Asha Greyjoy and is definitely not a Pirate. Like Asha, Claire commands the respect of her crew and follows the New Way, though here that appears to mean she acts like someone out of The Golden Age of Piracy.
  • Rain, Iris's tutor, is here Lancel Lanister having undergone a Gender Flip and aged up slightly. She's serving as a handmaiden instead of a squire to the royal family.
  • Cecily is once more a priest, this time taking Septa Mordane's place as Winterfell's septa and the Stark girls' tutor. She's as odd as any Axis Cultist, and is fully aware of her status as a reincarnator as well as the other children. Most people chalk her ecentricities up to her religion, and put up with her because no one else can handle teaching the extremely Chuunibyo Megumin. She's also the one that writes In-Universe the background lore.
  • The other two reincarnators are Lean (Dust's party member), who takes the place of Shireen Baratheon, and Sylphina (Darkness' younger sister) as the Gender Flip version of Robert Arryn.

The (New) New Gods

As mentioned in the main page, another one of the major thrusts of this crossover is that deities that make up Westeros' Faith of the Seven are goddesses from various anime.

Natives of Westeros

These characters may not be part of Westeros in canon, but they certainly have a role to play in Westeros as far as this fanfic is concerned.
  • The Lord of Light worshipped by Melisandre and the Red Priests is none other than Kefka Palazzo, whose personality and backstory mostly remain the same. However, one could easily see Petyr Baelish's "Chaos is a ladder" speech as applicable to him.
  • Though the Old Gods have so far gone unnamed in canon, here, one of them turns out to be Holo.
  • The Drowned God worshipped by the Ironborn is Nyarlathotep, a.k.a. Nyarko, who seems to be obsessed with both Claire and Theon Greyjoy, making the latter the equivalent of Mahiro Yasaka - with SAN draining sex included.
  • Wiz picks up Craster's position as the one who lives Beyond the Wall accompanied by multiple women.
  • Tsume, Senko, Hoost, Garurumon and Link as Grey Wolf, Lady, Summer, Shaggy Dog and Ghost, respectively.
