These are the characters exclusive to True Talents.

    Bowdler

  • Affably Evil: Despite the depths Bowdler sinks to -including kidnapping a child, faking his death, and doing countless other awful things- he is still a very upbeat and relatively friendly person, even if it’s all an act. He talks calmly and politely to Martin since he doesn't think he's connected to Trash. Occasionally, his real nature leaks through, such as when he throws out a kid's toy to teach him to not depend on things.
  • Animal Motifs: His is a dog, although a rare villainous example. Trash compares his eyes to the crazy, rabid eyes of a dead one he saw when he was younger. He hunts down Trash and his friends, not unlike a police dog. His Villainous Breakdown near the end of the story where he's cornered is also a rare moment where he loses his composure and lashes out, not unlike a cornered animal.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity: Bowdler has a bad habit of underestimating the six main characters. He also tends to let his sadism get in the way of efficiency. Justified in that he’s been fired or rejected from being a general for his obvious lack of sanity, and is fighting against a bunch of fifteen year olds who he has no reason to see as threats.
  • The Determinator: He resorts to kidnapping, manipulation and murder to get Trash back, and threatens his entire family.
  • Playing with Syringes: Bowdler does this to Trash for six months in the sequel, and intends to capture the other five for this as well.
  • The Sociopath: Bowdler shows no remorse for killing people or bringing harm to children. Martin reading his soul demonstrates that he reveals that he never comprehends what he does as truly bad. He’s smart enough to hide his disturbed side from the public, but a soul reading from Martin shows that he has no remorse for murder or any empathy, not even for the people working alongside him.
  • Stalker without a Crush: He is obsessed with Trash's psychic powers to a decidedly creepy extent. While he has an interest in all of the boys because of their powers, he seems to appreciate Trash's capability for violence, and is impressed whenever Trash uses his powers to evade him, almost making this a non-romantic In Love with Your Carnage scenario.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Very much so. This is basically his go-to strategy for testing out Trash’s powers, and he fully intends to do this to the other five boys once he captures them.
  • Villainous Breakdown: When he’s on the losing end near the end of the story, he starts panicking, despite staying relatively calm throughout the story.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Nobody ever suspects him of being a horrible human being.

    Thurston

  • Body Horror: Trash attacks Thurston by shattering all of his ribs. he gets better, but still.
  • Cool Old Guy: He’s the first other person the boys meet that has powers as well, and he’s a friendly old man.
  • Double Agent: He turns out to have been secretly working against Bowdler the whole time and helps the boys take him down.
  • Faking the Dead: He turns out to have survived Trash’s attack on him due to his powers.
  • Healing Factor: Thurston has the power to heal from seemingly any major injury. Getting his ribs snapped, or getting stabbed does nothing to get rid of him.
  • Mysterious Backer: Is this to Trash and his friends. He helps him escape by exchanging his medication with water. Ultimately he helps the boys fight Bowdler.
