Matrakçı Nasuh Efendi

(Played by Fatih Al)

  • The Alcoholic: Though he gets better.
  • Cartwright Curse: Neither of his two love interests worked out. Sadika intended to kill the head of state of his country, while Nigar was Ibrahim's lover.
  • The Confidant: He is a close friend to Ibrahim and to Malcokoglu, so both discuss their problems with him.
  • Feeling Their Age: When doing a Matrak sparring with adult Sehzade Bayezid, he gets tired quickly due to becoming older.
  • Loving a Shadow: He idealized a lot his love for Sadika/Victoria and made her to be an angel, which was delusional even if she weren't a traitor.
  • Secret-Keeper: He is aware of Ibrahim's affair with Nigar.
  • Unwitting Pawn: After Sadika's accomplice is executed for raping her, Sadika exploits Nasuh's crush on her to make him the messenger of the treacherous plots. When she was revealed as a traitor, Ibrahim forces him to kill her as a punishment.

    Mehmet Celebi 
The son of Piri Pasha and Sehzade Mustafa's teacher in his childhood. Before Ibrahim and Hatice marry, he was Hatice's fiancé.

    Iskender Celebi 

    Yehya Efendi 

Afife's son and Suleyman's brother-like friend.

  • The Confidant: Suleyman has discussed his troubles with him.
  • The Medic: He is a respected physician. He could heal Suleyman from a severe poisoning.

    Ebussuud Efendi

  • Bothering by the Book: He is very strict when enforcing the law. He will punish vendors that break the rules and will deny requests from plaintiffs that cannot be admitted by the law.
  • The Cobbler's Children Have No Shoes: He can bring justice to everyone except his own son.
  • The Confidant: Süleyman has sometimes asked for his guidance when taking decisions.
  • Gentleman and a Scholar: If you are not a lawbreaker or his son, he is a polite man. He is also a knowledgeable Islamic scholar and jurist.
  • I Have No Son!: He rejects his son when he is revealed to be an alcoholic that goes to the taverns. It goes to a point in which Ibrahim Pasha tries to intercede for him to no avail.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: After knowing him, he gets along very well with Sultan Suleyman.
  • The Philosopher: He does analysis of things by comparing him to the care of his garden.
  • Rank Up: Surprised by his competence, Suleyman fires him from judge of Istanbul to make him a military judge and reform the law alongside him.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: While very harsh when enforcing the law, he will not let plaintiffs exceed the law in their lawsuits and seeks to be a fair judge.

    Achmed Efendi 

Ebussuud Efendi's estranged son.

  • The Alcoholic: One of the reasons his father detests him is his tendency to become drunk.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: He is trying to find love from his father, but he will have none of it.

    Sirin Hatun 
A fabrics seller that comes to the palace. She wants to meet Hürrem for a very specific reason.

  • One-Shot Character: Despite apparently coming to the palace regularly, she only appears once.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She does not return to the series, but it is her meeting with Hürrem what allows her to expose Ibrahim's affair and cause all the aftermath.

    Shaykh Ishmael Masuki 
  • The Exile: Out of mercy to his father, Suleyman banishes him from Istanbul. It doesn't work, so he has to be executed.
  • The Heretic: He states that the prohibitions of Islam are illogical and that men have a part of God and a part of the Devil. Faithful Muslims do not take this well, so he is convicted of atheism (as in being an infidel, not as in denying God's existence) and beheaded.
  • Public Execution: He alongside the adherents of his sect are all beheaded publicly.
