(Played by Burak Özçivit)

  • The Bus Came Back: After a long time, he returns from his work at the frontiers.
  • But Now I Must Go: On the third Season Finale, he asks Suleyman to divide from the group to fight other wars, after he already asked him permission to return to his land. He is mum about a clue of Hürrem's whereabouts to avoid creating false hopes, but once he rescues her, he leaves.
  • Carpet of Virility: His chest is notably hairy.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: He surely enjoys uncommitted sex. However, he is one of the most moral characters of all the series, as he never abuses his authority, does not kill people for his own gain, and attempts to at least not willingly contribute on the hidden agendas of the sultanas.
  • Deconfirmed Bachelor: Fatma Sultan confirms Rüstem and Mihrimah that Bali Bey finally married and has had enough children. Bali Bey had previously said that he would never marry.
  • Everyone Has Standards: He may be a pervert, but he does not let Aybige have an affair with him due to her engagement to Mustafa at the moment.
  • Good-Looking Privates: He is a handsome soldier, as some women have commented.
  • Hero of Another Story: He has been fighting for the Ottoman Empire while offscreen.
  • The Pardon: Sehzade Mustafa pardons him from an execution for having been an honorable soldier.
  • Put on a Bus: His first departure from the series is because of his assigned work at the frontiers, while later he decided to move from Istanbul.
  • Stalker with a Crush: To Armin. He climbs into her bedroom window after being turned down multiple times.
  • Undying Loyalty: He is completely loyal to Sultan Suleyman.

    Taslicali Yahya Bey

A famous poet and Sehzade Mustafa's bodyguard. He fell in love with Mihrimah Sultan.

  • Bash Brothers: He has fought alongside Sehzade Mustafa. This is notable when they united forces to fight against Portuguese pirates.
  • The Confidant: Mustafa discusses everything with him.
  • Put on a Bus: After Mustafa is executed, Suleyman makes him go away.
  • Warrior Poet: A famous poet, and Mustafa's bodyguard.

    Ilyas

A soldier hired by Mahidevran to assassinate Sehzade Mehmet.

  • False Friend: He approaches Sehzade Mehmet by acting politely and mirroring him, but he wants to kill him. There is a lot of Dramatic Irony in his scenes, since Mehmed expresses gratefulness for having a loyal friend like him, even when he isn't.
  • Fan: He seems to adore Taslicali's poems, as he praises him when finding him.

    Atmaca

  • Arch-Enemy: He hates Rüstem Pasha for being an accomplice of Mustafa's unfair death, while Rüstem hates him for mutilating his brother.
  • Good-Looking Privates: He is complimented when he wears a Janissary uniform.
  • Go Out with a Smile: During his death, he smiles when he sees that he might reunite with Sehzade Mustafa and with his dead family.
  • Hitman with a Heart: It is easy to see that he has a good heart when he adopted the child of a spy he killed.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: He had a son (and a wife), but he died before he appears in the series.
  • Parental Substitute: He adopts Yusuf after he killed his father, a spy for Elkas Mirza.
  • Together in Death: After he and Rustem Pasha kill each other, his remembrances of his dead family and Mustafa suggest this.

    Ali Aga (Janissary)

  • Off with His Head!: Suleyman forces Mustafa to have him executed for raising his sword against Rüstem Pasha.
  • Saying Too Much: Gushing about Sehzade Mustafa doesn't stop Suleyman from fearing a coup led by him.

    Zal Mahmut

  • He Knows Too Much: Mihrimah and Sümbül forced him to not divulge Rüstem Pasha's actual cause of death.
  • Sole Survivor: He was the only guard to survive the attack by Atmaca in the palace.
