    The Little Girl
The heroine of the game. She entered the spooky mansion rumored to be a witch dwelling as a dare, and must now escape the clutches of the very real witch.
  • Blood-Splattered Innocents: Hitting the witch in the face with the axe causes the girl to be covered head to toe in blood. It evaporates once she escapes.
  • Overly-Nervous Flop Sweat: The girl will start sweating whenever the witch is in the same room but hasn't quite seen her yet.

    The Witch
The titular antagonist of the game. She is a giant, hulking thing that haunts the mansion and goes after any children who have the misfortune of wandering into her mansion.
  • Antagonist Title: The Gnarled Hag is the Wicked Witch who imprisoned the girl inside her house.
  • Big Bad: She imprisoned the little girl in her house and chases her every chance she spots her.
  • Evil Laugh: The hag lets out a cackle if she catches you, with a slightly different one each time.
  • Humanoid Abomination: The titular hag is a tall, hunched-over old woman with a horribly distorted, almost mask-like face with loose skin that dangles from her jaw, the ability to phase through the floor with a hearty dose of Body Horror, and a full-blown One-Winged Angel transformation when sufficiently angered.
  • One-Winged Angel: When hit with an axe, the hag's body contorts and turns into a giant quadrupedal monster with a massive, balloon-like torso.
  • Nightmare Face: Getting caught will treat you to a full view of the witch's gorgeous mug.
  • Vader Breath: The Hag breathes in a manner similar to Vader, and one of the signs that she is nearby is her breath.
  • Weakened by the Light: It is suggested by the boarded-up windows that the witch has a weakness to light. When the girl finally escapes, the witch stops due to the bright light... Only to come for the girl during nighttime.
  • Wicked Witch: The titular Hag evokes the classic image of a wicked witch — complete with hat, a decaying, unkempt house in which she resides, as well as a penchant for imprisoning trespassing children and turning them into slugs — but with a horror twist that makes her seem more of a Humanoid Abomination as well.
    Human-Eyed Slug
Presumingly a child which had been transformed into a slug by the Witch.
