Cheer Bear

- Genki Girl: Shows signs of this.
- The Leader: By tradition at this point, though she doesn't show much leadership qualities in this series.
- Nice Girl: Is implied to be nicer than the other bears, though with the exception of Grumpy, that isn't saying much. One instance of her being this is when she happily hugs Grumpy.
- Pom-Pom Girl: Not necessarily, but Cheer does a cheerleading chant in order to wake Bedtime up once.
Grumpy Bear

- Deadpan Snarker: Has made a few quips here and there.Cheer: Give me a W! Give me a A!(Grumpy bumps Cheer out of the scene])Grumpy: Give me a break..
- Only Sane Man: He tends to play this role here since the rest of the gang are crazier than he is.
Funshine Bear
Voiced by: N/A
- Like Is, Like, a Comma: Is prone to this.
- Pungeon Master: He doesn't crack puns much in this series, but he does so in "Hole Nine Yards".
- Surfer Dude: Talks very much like one.
- Totally Radical: He says a lot of "cool" 90's slang like "Wowzers!" and "Where the honk are we?".
Bedtime Bear

- Catching Some Z's: This tends to happen with Bedtime in particular.
- Cloudcuckoolander: While not as crazy as Rainbow Heart is, he's this in "Global Warming". When the gang wonder how they're going to cool off the planet, Bedtime wakes up from his nap and randomly says that he'll simply enter the dreamland dimension, and magically shift himself to another location. The other members think it's a great idea of course... except Grumpy.
- Sleepyhead: Naturally sleeps a lot.
Rainbow Heart Bear
Voiced by: N/A
A bear with highly glittery purple fur and a belly badge that matches her name - a rainbow in the shape of a heart. She's cheerful and helpful, but also a bear who wears her feelings on her badge and her sleeve, becoming very sad in a flash if something or someone upsets her. Her glittery appearance causes Grumpy Bear to nickname her "Sparkles."
- Canon Foreigner: To the Care Bears franchise as a whole, being created solely for this series and the 35th anniversary of the franchise.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Rainbow Heart tries to talk to a giant turtle when the others can't understand her, much to the gang's confusion. This is even once lampshaded by Grumpy in one episode to be the case.Grumpy: If I unscrewed her head, gumdrops and glitter would fall out.
- Genki Girl: A little bit more than Cheer.
- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: Her fur is purple.
- Nice Girl: Much like Cheer, this is mostly just implied rather than shown. However in one episode Rainbow Heart suggests to hug a crooked candle in place.
