The Graveyard Ghouls

Monstrous ghosts that are restless due to the graveyard being built on top a high hill. Most simply stay in the graveyard, except for Oswald and Martin Manse, notorious murders who take over the protagonist's body to cause mischief.
- Ax-Crazy: Literally, they threaten people with axes at one point.
- Call-Back: Much like the ghosts from the original Ghost Camp, they're a group of excessively violent spirits condemned to one area and only able to leave by possessing living hosts, although they're much more malicious and destructive, especially the Manse brothers.
- Grand Theft Me: Oswald and Martin take over Spencer and Audra's bodies.
- Hate Sink: While the franchise's previous undead antagonists had sympathetic qualities and were merely angered by their restless existence, the Manse brothers, particularly Oswald, have no such traits. The two were violent criminals in life who set fire to half the town for no good reason, and happily steal two innocent kids' bodies so they can continue spreading terror and chaos. On top of that, Oswald shows himself to be a vile, smug bully who constantly rubs it in how powerless Spencer is, and later tries to burn up the kid's body so he can steal a stronger boy's. The Manses are so monstrous that even the other ghouls completely abhor them.
- Pyromaniac: Oswald and Martin run around lighting houses on fire.
- Our Ghouls Are Creepier: While official artwork and most media adaptations portray them as glorified zombies, in the story itself they were more akin to ghosts or Living Shadows.
- Teens Are Monsters: The Manse brothers. Oswald in particular isn't much older than Spencer, and is right up there with Mr. Toggle and the Dollmaker as one of the vilest entities in all the books.
- Weaksauce Weakness: You can defeat them just by dancing.
- Would Hurt a Child: Oswald plans to destroy Spencer's body when he's done with it.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Once Oswald is sick of Spencer's weak body, he plans to take over someone else's, then destroy Spencer's.
Spencer Kassimir
A fearful, superstitious boy who ends up getting his body stolen by Oswald Manse.
