Awesome / Roleplay of Geass

Go To

  • Takumi challenges the Lancelot on foot with two pistols, though this does allow Kenji to severly damage the Lancelot in the process.
  • Jason used his harkens very wisely to defeat Tohdoh in a direct fight.
  • Fortin of Huckebein got one for battling Mune's Burai, not even knowing what it was, and then killing Mune with his own Kaiten Yaibo.
  • You have gotta give Michael some credit, standing there unafraid when Anita is glaring at him and trying to make him leave through sheer malice. And he managed to talk her down.
  • Gadrev managed to put a stop to Kyle's killer rampage.
  • Charlie Havengale gets quite a few moments of awesome for a character who has amnesia and barely knows who he is.
    • He defeated three soldiers on foot, including one of Kyle's martial arts trained friends, armed with just an (empty) pistol.
    • He climbed into the Wrozz, a machine he barely knew anything about, and used it very effectively.
    • He did some very impressive things to protect Loni in the Zamblo from Kyle, demonstrating how dangerous he was as a pilot.
    • He also climbed into an unfinished Knightmare, he did not know if it would explode around him or boil him alive (it almost did the latter), and used it to chase off Kyle, Saya and Kazama, who had his fellow pilots on the ropes. And he did not even know what he was doing half the time.
    • Charlie's really earning his command chops lately. From organizing a sting operation, to taking command in the field, he's showing that he's definitely a dangerous person within the Britannian structure. To the point that most likely Zero will get a report about him.
    • Sean gave Charlie a call to taunt him about his My Greatest Failure and make him focus his attention. Charlie proceeded to turn this taunting into an Engineered Public Confession, turning Sean into someone Hated by All and bolstering the Triumvirate's repute in the process. This also functioned to alienate Sean's money handlers, meaning his time as a dangerous, highly influential rebel noble is basically done.
  • Jonathan Ei Britannia is easily one of the manliest princes, not afraid to climb into a prototype Knightmare and kick some ass, and he even managed to scare Kyle off when the sheer ferocity of his emotions combined with Charlie's Psychic Powers to make a gigantic demonic phantom appear from the wrecked Neuve Caius. Thankfully, unlike Dozle, he survives.
  • As evil as she is, nobody can argue that Katherine Daille's ascent up the ranks and growing capabilities as an Ace Pilot are not awesome. At Shikine, she defeated no less than six enemies on her own, made more retreat, and had even managed to plan the whole thing out.
  • Bezide very recently managed to fight off Kyle, Kazama, Saya, an entire brigade of mercenaries, Alec, another brigade of mercenaries, and escaped through the ground.
  • Overlaps with Dying Moment of Awesome when Prince Lawrence opted to take a thousand bullets to save the people he was speaking to. He might have died, but he reignited the spark in the Britannian Faction.
  • Rahan, showing what kind of bad guy he is by sacrificing an easily replaced grunt-mech to take down the heavily armed Gabriel, knowing full well Sean was planning betrayal.
  • Pretty much every time the 1-Tachyon deploys, it leads to a villainous moment of awesome. Composed of three different, highly powerful Knightmares, it is easy to see why Mr. Aside planned for so long on creating it, and adding more pieces to it.
    • Yuuki got a moment of awesome in actually managing to force the damn thing from the field.
  • With the SAZ disintegrated, and the full R1 Black Rebellion out in force, characters from both sides of the war find themselves getting these moments.
    • Prince Jon returns to the field in the Neuve-Caius, and saves Michael Runehart from getting backstabbed, by throwing a Knightmare across the battlefield using the Neuve-Caius' claws.
    • Michael confronts Mikhalis and duels him for some time, neither really taking the advantage, but in a nostalgic sense, its cool to see these two characters from the very beginning fighting each other in such a way.
    • Zectole Vignal Jr, formerly a non-entity, enters the spotlight using a Zamblo, which if you remember should only be able to be used by Psy-Xtenders. That says that he's definitely improved since his last outing.
  • Curtin got one in actually giving a What the Hell, Hero? speech to Charlie, and calling out the endless manipulation and lies fed to him during the attempt to make him a Super-Soldier. Charlie gets a lesser one too, for remaining patient and tolerating and taking to heart what Curtin said, and managing to dissuade him from violence.
  • After languishing in Demoted to Extra status, barely even appearing until recently, the Eye of Eden assassins Nick and Livio show what they're capable of in the Ashford Academy Siege.
  • Even though it started rough, the Black Rebellion involves some awesome moments;
    • Charlie demonstrates that war is not a game nor does it necessarily involve fair play by getting two of his bodyguard units to deflect Takumi's attacks, followed by skewering the famed Black Knight. The local Black Knight units have an Oh, Crap! reaction.
    • Mifune vs. Lak'Sha, the samurai being the first and only one to actually injure Lak'sha not once but twice. Previously no one has been able to even touch the walking shadow.
    • In spite of the battering they took and nearly being wiped out to a man that night, the survivors of the 9th Britannian Infantry Battalion clambered from the rubble of their fortifications and prepared to go down fighting one last time. A pyrrhic example, it can demonstrate, however, that in a world of supernatural powers, super-soldiers and mechs that can outgun a tank several times over, even ordinary men and women with rifles can contribute in a small way to a battle's outcome.
