Awesome / RoboCop: Rogue City

Unmarked Spoilers ahead

  • Robocop is a walking, talking Crowning Moment of Awesome as the developers have successfully captured his Mighty Glacier aspects. Robocop can tank most small arms fire and with upgrades, deal with even more. There's no need for cover with most of the enemies you face and you will feel like an Implacable Man for the vast majority of the game, gunning down armies of hoods.
  • Robocop's first mission in the game is to serve as a One-Man Army taking down all of the Torch Heads who have taken Channel 9 hostage. You culminate the mission, after taking a bomb in the face, with rescuing a bunch of hostages that you can fail to save unless you're perfect.
  • The Street Vultures actually get one of these as they are prepared against Robocop by going after him on motorcycles, laying landmines around their base (including underwater), and going after him with sniper rifles. Compared to the Torch Heads who have Suicidal Overconfidence, they try a reasonable set of tactics against an in-universe One-Man Army. Though it just makes Robocop more awesome by tearing through anyway.
  • Robocop enters a killing competition with ED-209 against the Street Vultures where they have to see which of them is more efficient gunning down crooks.
  • Robocop has to have a fight with ED-209 in the Steel Mill where he faced down Boddicker's gang for the first time. It requires him to defeat it in hand-to-hand combat versus using the Cobra cannon like he did in the original movie.
  • Robocop stopping a bank robbery is normal enough but potentially defusing a bomb or blowing it up against his armor? That's something else. Also, he teams up with SWAT and THREE ED-209s that, for once, don't rogue.
  • Robocop manages to fight through a nightmarish Mushroom Samba induced by the New Guy before arresting him, much to his surprise.
  • Max Becker unleashes an army of UED Mecha-Mooks on Robocop as part of a presentation to a mayorial candidate. Robocop single handedly takes them all down.
  • Robocop is called to single-handedly put down a prison riot orchestrated by the New Guy. It ends up with him facing a bunch of armed mercenaries that are suspiciously similar to the Rehabs from Robocop 3.
  • Lewis manages to rescue herself when a squad of assassins tries to kill her in her hospital room.
  • Robocop personally handles all of the UEDs going rogue at the Expo that Max Becker organizes. This includes fighting another rogue ED-209 as well as more mercenary reinforcements from Wendell.
  • With almost all of the Detroit PD on strike during the Mayoral Riots, Sergeant Reed goes out to try and rally as many of them as possible while Robocop, Lewis and Washington go into downtown Detroit to save as many as they can, while Samantha and Pickles take upon the roles of dispatchers at Metro West.
    • The Torch Heads set an apartment building on fire with people still inside. Upon entering, Murphy find Daniel Briggs, who tells him that his mother is still trapped in her apartment and couldn't get out. Not only can you save Gail, but also two other tenants and a cat.
    • Wendell's mercenaries stole an ED-209 from the Arms Expo and set it loose onto the streets to cause havoc; Robo can easily take it down with a few shots of the Cobra Assault Cannon located on a nearby rooftop, taking down his third ED-209 that evening.
    • Spike and his Street Vultures plan out one final attack: the destruction of the Detroit bridge with explosives in the sewer lines, which while thwarting them requires Murphy to either be very careful with his shots or go hand-to-hand with the Vultures due to the danger of it blowing up.
    • Horde of thugs attack several of the storefronts visited during the story: the arcade (now under new management), the video store, the tattoo shop, Ben's garage, and the laundromat. Murphy intervenes at each place and rescues the store owners as Pickles transfers their calls for help to him.
  • The penultimate mission, "No Way Out" has Robocop against the entirety of the New Guys forces as the mercenaries grow increasingly desperate as Robocop defeats them one after the other no matter how many elite units are sent after him.
    • This includes a group of Cobra cannon armed snipers that you can end up turning the weapons on their forces with. This is when Robocop's theme music kicks in for the second time.
    • The mission concludes with finally giving Wendell the Karmic Death he deserves after he's abandoned by his own men.
  • Robocop has such a 100% Heroism Rating, potentially, that his endorsement swings the election between Kuzak and Mills.
  • The final showdown with the now Ax-Crazy Old Man who has had his brain transferred into the body of Robocop 2. It's a three part boss battle that smashes through numerous floors and demolishes the OCP building of the first two movies.
  • If you support Pickles and get him to change his way, he gets a job at the movie theater, where he stops a hostage situation.
  • If you supported Dr. Blanche and helped her overcome her trauma, in the post game epilogue newscast, she successfully talks down a malfunctioning ED-209.
