* A GreaterScopeVillain is a villain who influences the actions of the BigBad but is indirectly influential.

* A BigBad is a villain who has a direct influence on the events of the plot and is responsible for the events, usually serving as a final antagonist. This means that they can't be a GreaterScopeVillain at the same time as having direct influence also includes the backstories of other villains.

* NightmareFuel is done to intentionally traumatize the audience.

* BrokenBase is basically a civil war in fandom regarding a certain change. Any discussion about this change results in a FlameWar.

* CreatorBacklash is when a creator hates one of his works in spite of its sizeable fandom because of factors outside of its quality.
* OldShame is when a creator hates one of his works because of its low quality; said work has little to no fandom.

** Example: “Literature/Catch-22” Chapter Nine: “…[Major Major] took his studies so seriously that he was suspected by the homosexuals of being a Communist and suspected the Communists of being a homosexual.” Chapter 11: “…and when they remarked that Major Major was somewhat odd, Captain Black announced that he was a Communist.”

* A BrickJoke is not solely about humor, and is plot-related. A minor, insignificant, or seemingly concluded event occurs, and the viewer is meant to think it over and done with. The event then recurs much later on to effect the plot in an unexpected way.
** Example: Early in the plot, John Doe steals something insignificant as a show to the audience of how much of a rogue he is, and escapes the police. Later on he is shot, and it's revealed he never got around to taking the thing out his pocket, so the bullet ricocheted off of it, saving his life.

* In EvilIsSexy, an evil character is designed to be attractive to the ''audience''; unlike the other two tropes, it doesn't necessarily involve sexual or romantic ties between the villain and other characters in-universe.

* SoBadItsGood is about something that happens to entertaining because of its poor quality and/or creative decisions.

* In MyHovercraftIsFullOfEels, Alice doesn't speak Tropish very well, so she says something hilarious and nonsensical like "My hovercraft is full of eels."

* BileFascination is about people being fascinated by the bad quality of the work, and/or creative decisions made in a work, regardless how entertaining the work itself is.
* SoBadItsGood is about a something that is entertaining because of its poor quality and/or creative decisions.

* CollapsingLair is when location starts to collapse once BigBad is defeated.
* EscapeSequence is a section in a game where player must outrun an undefeatable enemy.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: The villain indulges in a blatant/gratuitous act of villainy. However, it doesn't count as KickTheDog and we don't feel sorry, because the victim in question was actually a jerkass (or worse) and was overdue some comeuppance anyway.

* AnythingThatMoves: a character has very low or broad standards within their sexual orientation. \\
For example, Bob doesn't care if you are attractive, old, young or crazy as long as you're a woman who will have sex with him.
* ExtremeOmnisexual: a character has an all-inclusive sexual orientation, but can have standards. \\
For example, Bob doesn't care if you're a man, woman, [[{{hermaphrodite}} both]], [[BoldlyComing alien]] or [[{{Robosexual}} robot]], as long as you're attractive.

* BoobsOfSteel is when the strongest female fighter has the largest breasts in a team or the whole work.
* BuxomBeautyStandard is when the female character is attractive to other characters because she has large breasts or is more endowed than other females in the work.
* MostCommonSuperpower is the overwhelming tendency for Western female superheroes to have large breasts.

* MakeMeWannaShout covers sonic blasts capable of inflicting direct physical damage, not limited to fragile targets.

* GuiltInducedGaming is when a game tries to guilt-trip the player by having the characters act sad, or having something horrible happen, whenever the player tries to do something. The "something" ''could'' be taking too long (in which case it's overlapping with one of the above tropes), but it might not be, and most instances of AnitIdling and ContinueYourMissionDammit do not involve guilting the player.

* AdaptationalSympathy makes a character more ''sympathetic'' than they originally were, but their motive and/or eventual actions might still be

* AdaptationalHeroism changes ''what'' a character does to make them look better, but not necessarily their reason for it.
* AdaptationalSympathy changes ''why'' a character is doing something to make them look sympathetic, but not necessarily their actions.

* ChewingTheScenery is when a character who is usually acted in a normal fashion suddenly starts acting like a LargeHam.
