As you noted on the Trivia page, the online game saying "captured" feels like Never Say Die or an old holdover of early plans rather than anything definitively canonical (note that Specs' bio implies that he's unhappy because they aren't capturing dinosaurs). Furthermore, including it in this example undermines Dino 2010 being Lighter And Softer than Dino Attack if they both "capture" dinosaurs. But since "combat" (unlike the previous wording "exterminate") doesn't necessarily mean "kill" and isn't present at all in Dino 2010, I think we can safely split the difference and just use that word.
