Dimensional Clash V has been succeeded by a series of new Dimensional Clash roleplays. Each has been influenced by DCV, and some characters from DCV appear in the new set of roleplays. The first of these new RPs was Dimensional Clash VI, the Apophis Tourney, which was then followed by Dimensional Clash VII, the Dester Tourney. Both of these roleplays remain unfinished to this day. The 8th DC, Dimensional Clash 8, is in its final stages of writing. Dimensional Clash IX is set to begin within Spring 2017.

* Badass: every single character. Some more so than others, but not a single one fails to be a badass to some degree.

* HumanoidAbomination: The Dark Samus. Easily one of the most powerful destroyers (being significantly more powerful than Samus Aran who is easily one of the most powerful and BadAss of the champions, in terms of raw firepower, she has no equals in the group save for the reality warpers), has secretly set up Aurora 313 on Phaaze, giving it control of all Phazon (and thus all corrupted by it, though those with a strong enough will can resist though it is very hard...however, humans are naturally highly resistant to phazon corruption, and even then it's still a fight to retain one's mind), It has reality bending and psychic powers, and it's shaped like the armored form of a very attractive woman (though only the armor, you will only find a monstrously hideous internal organ system highly reminiscent of it's old true essence underneath it's "armor" which is actually it's skin.)

* SlidingScaleOfGenderInequality: Over all the RP falls into either Type 2 or Type 3, though slowly leaning into Type 2, and some areas have already drifted into Type 1. The women of the RP are all quite BadAss, but they are by far overshadowed by the males, and many of them have slowly gone through some Chickification into becoming, though still BadAss, the mere love interests and minions of their male companions (Rose to John, Samus to Alex, Dark Samus to Nemesis). In terms of leadership, women have next to no power; while there are some females among the 'Right-Hands' of John, there are far fewer females in the list than males, and all of the players whom the control the 'Right-Hand' female Champions do not post IC too much in the RP, or have left completely. That, and Dark Samus is the only Destroyer Lord who has a feminine personality, and is one of the only few female Destroyers at that. She was originally quite BadAss, and overshadowed even the might Animated Megatron and the Liege Maximo, but then Tyrannolodon threw Nemesis into the mix and Ret-Conned and stated that all of her power comes from him. Even in Dimensional's backstory and MythArc, there are still next to no powerful female entities.

* VillainDecay: Happening to Jack Noir at the moment as he's being overshadowed by several others, happened to General Grievous in his canon origin, but Tyrannolodon thankfully undid that and made him even more over the top BadAss than he was in the cartoon.

Cut natter.

*** He really only needs to worry about a few champions, Jadesprite; whose first guardian powers boosted by her status a twice prototyped Kernelsprite (with one of those prototypings being a witch of space at the top of her echeladder boosted by twelve level-ups) may allow her to actually be a match for his power, Rose Lalonde (whose black magyks and maxed out echeladder and twelve fold levelups may allow her to provide a fight, especially if she is backed by some of the Outer Gods), and Optimus Prime (who as a prime is immune to the worst of his powers). But he has already stated that he has a plan to deal with them.
**** For one thing, he has far more experience with his power than Jadesprite and Rose, and his power is much less subject to the whims of his superiors than Rose, and even though Optimus is immune to being directly affected by most of the Fallen's powers, he can still indirectly attack him, and the Fallen has Megatron at his beck and call.
***** He will also display that he is DangerouslyGenreSavvy by stealing the Champion's macguffins, the Pure Hearts, and the other such powerful artifacts that Merlon and Nolrem will have awarded them for their services in addition to anything of this sort that they have gained as loot.

** Inverted with Clockwerk. In the canon of the Franchise/SlyCooper games he (probably) was like many of the characters and had some anthromorphic characteristics. Then he somehow became the horrifying mechanical monster he was when we saw him in the game, and in the RP. Now that he has reached his OWA-form, he... looks exactly the same as he looked back when he was normal (at least, in appearance and clothing according to the fans). Arguably, if, in his first 'normal phase' he looked the same as his canon picture, then, due to the fact that Rixio is using a fan-interpretation, he looks even MORE Bishonen than his canon form. This is actually inverted, of course; the 'furry form' is really just his preferred form.

* SlidingScaleOfAntagonistVileness: Runs the whole gamut, from HeroAntagonists like Beat, to the CompleteMonster to end all Complete Monsters Araghast and everything in between. Tyrannolodon's villains tend to swing heavily towards less sympathetic, with the exceptions of O'Chunks, Lord Crump, Mimi, Nastasia and Count Bleck. While Jack Noir does mass murder for fun, he always does it in a quick and painless manner and has enough silly moments to keep him likeable enough to avoid the moral event horizon. The Fallen does engage in hideously brutal torture, but does it out of pragmatic reasons, but he isn't universally agreed to have crossed the MoralEventHorizon. Araghast is an undoubted CompleteMonster who has people killed, tortured, enslaved, and raped by the billions in obscenely horrible ways for no reason but ForTheEvulz, he thinks nothing of destroying the souls of every single dead member of an entire ancient and star faring race (by desecrating the Well of All Sparks on Cybertron), and he just loves killing people's loved ones in front of them to see their reactions.

** The Destroyer aligned Decepticons and Daleks are also considered these due to their sheer toughness. Most destroyer mooks go down in one hit from a named character without really accomplishing much, but these guys can take and dish out quite a beating.
* KnightOfCerebrus: Nemesis Prime, the role play can be quite light hearted at times, but whenever he becomes involved it takes a turn for the dark. He immediately established his mood darkening credentials by killing Optimus fucking Prime.
* LeftTheBackgroundMusicOn: The Red Team's Chupathingy (their unofficial name for their warthog) always plays a lively acccordion jig that can be heard for quite some distance. Which will inevitably herald it's arrival which almost always is the prelude to violence...typically of the comedic variety.

** Whatever THE CULLER is, it probably fits into this trope, what is known about it is that it is powerful enough to destroy entire universes with no effort, it has wings (what a surprise), arms, it isn't absolutely colossal (though it probably has the power to change it's size and shape), it has a sword, and that it's origins and/or it's rise to power ultimately lie with the Khorne Tourney's champions. Guesses range from Bec Noir, to Ramjet, to some kind of rogue greater daemon or daemon prince, to the fallen, to some type of negative space wedgie, to a very malignant great old one/horrorterror/outer god, to some kind of living NegativeSpaceWedgie, a sapient DivideByZero event, or a giga-clockroach gone bad, to it being something else entirely.

Badass Abnormal has been renamed to Empowered Badass Normal. Make sure you check out the new page and its definition before adding the trope.

* BadAssAbnormal: Volkov in IV and V; he didn't bother to fight a weapon duel with a Magnaguard, he simply grabbed it's electrostaff and yanks it away with enough force to take it's arms off with the weapon and can one shot a Martian Tripod. Castor also counts due to his Bionic arm. Lord General Fredreich also counts due to his numerous genetic and cybernetic enhancements and his suit of Artificer power armor; which is definitely nonstandard for an Imperial Guard commander. Alexander Howard aka the Lone Wanderer also counts due to the many radiation induced mutations he has gained, his cybernetic implants, and his power armor; as does his implied girl friend Samus Aran with her spliced in Chozo Genes and Power Armor.

* OneManArmy: All of the Player Characters are an example of this by this point due to the pseudo-level up mechanic. Live Action Starscream is a pretty recent example. Within moments of landing on the Metroid Universe's Earth, he begins ripping the warring armies of the Destroyers and the Champions a new one and when faced with an entire division of elite Galactic Federation Marines all equipped with PEDs his reaction is to note their 20,000 to 1 numerical advantage over him and note that they don't have a shot in hell.

* PaintingTheFourthWall: Done frequently depending on the characters. Text is often italicized or bolded, and occasionally different colors are used. The Homestuck characters all have their text color and typing style when they speak as well. Unlike the Sporum, the RPProject forum doesn't accept hexadecimal colour codes, meaning that exact colours aren't used anymore. Additionally, as the RPProject forum's text size template has to be manually typed in rather than being something you could put in via click, varying text sizes have more or less disappeared until Sutekh (Tyrannolodon's new name) brings it back. Typically, Bolded text indicates a large and/or deep voiced character, italicized text is for higher pitched characters, underlined text is rare and when used, was always for the speech of an enormously powerful being. Text colour is used for Orks (Green, cuz green iz best ya git!), Chaos characters (Blue for Tzeentch, Red for Khorne, Violet for Slaanesh, Green for Nurgle, undivided is black), Homestuck characters (matches their source material's colours whenever possible), The original thirteen transformers (From what we have seen, Solus Prime uses Violet, Nexus Prime uses orange, Vector Prime uses cyan, the Fallen has Dark Red, the liege maximo has green, Prima is BURNING WHITE), Devils (Ashvardal had fiery red text), and Bonechill (Cyan, Bro ho ho ho.)

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: To Tyrannolodon, Lucas's reportrayal of General Grievous as a incompetent mustache twirling SmugSnake never happened and he remains the ProudWarriorRace HeroKiller BadAss he was in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon and in his pre-episode III appearances.
** Also to Tyrannolodon; John Egbert is genuinely quite intelligent, just somewhat lacking in common sense and having his mind cluttered with useless trivia about bad movies, basing this on the fact that John quickly figured out the punch code system, managed to become a better troll than the Trolls at an absurdly quick pace, and shows very creative usage of the alchemization process and his powers, both of which he grasped very quickly.
*** Again to Tyrannolodon; Khorne is not a shouting psychopathic manchild incapable of thinking of much of anything than being angry or killing stuff. Rather, Tyrannolodon contends than Khorne is more than capable of planning ahead if it suits him, arguing that not all anger is of the flaming hot shouting kind and that much of it is of a much calmer and cooler variety.
** Eropstoad thinks of Mario as an Italian immigrant who doesn't speak English very well. This is emphasized in Erops's first IC post as Mario, which is written in Italian.

* CompleteMonster: Warmaster Fredreich Austerlitz manages to out complete monster a General of the SS who himself scares other terrifyingly cruel SS officers shitless. A long time ago, when he was just a private he was critically wounded and an Alien rescued him and tended to his injuries; he was mortified by being dirtied by the hands of an alien and when he became Lord General fifty years later; he destroyed this race's civilization; killing to the tune of one hundred trillion sapient beings and having the Alien who had saved him sent to the Ordo Xenos to be experimented upon in the most painful way possible. He makes extensive usage of child soldiers, he will not hesitate to kill innocents and civilians to accomplish his objectives, he requisitions four times the standard amount of commissars to make sure that no one retreats without orders, commits heresy, deserts, looks at him funny, or does not dress properly and lives to tell the tale and in fact in his army; more men are killed by their superiors than by the enemy. He will gladly shoot any of the non-human and mutant champions if given even the flimsiest excuse to do so. And he is also kind of a dick. And did we mention that he's on the "good" team and is the one giving them orders?
** Araghast the Pillager has handily upstaged Fredreich as the most unsympathetic character in the story. He enters a Cragnon city of about a million and has everyone in it killed, raped, or enslaved ForTheEvulz and personally murders a Cragnon family. He tears one child in half for the crime of trying to stand up to him and lights the rest of the family on fire. When one girl tries to run away to douse herself in water, he holds her still and watches her burn with delight. The other characters are shocked, disgusted, and enraged when they stumble across the scene of his atrocity and he even left a hologram recording to taunt them and tell them where he is.
** Nemesis Prime is quite simply ruthless. No other big bad so far has come close to inspiring the hatred he has.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Plenty. Such as Optimus Prime curbstomping four Destroyers and two king mooks at once, >Ridley:Ascend, Shockwave executing his plan to defeat Mr.L and his fellow destroyers, Mimi's beatdown, John very neatly disposing of a Bloodcrusher of Khorne, General Girevous' duel with Jack Noir, Bro Strider's second duel with Jack Noir, Dad Egbert beating up on the Hive Lord Alpha, it's fair to say that this role play just keeps on piling one CMOA after the other.
** Optimus was pretty much a walking crowning moment of awesome from the second half of Act II down to his death at the start of Act IV. He went nowhere without leaving a long, long trail of destroyer corpses. This kind of emphasizes how screwed everyone is now that He's dead.
*** Nemesis gets his own by killing motherfucking Optimus Prime just after Optimus kicked the asses of his six best minions.
** The start of Act 5 has an epic crowning moment of awesome for Samus Aran, who slaughters over a million destroyer troops single handedly without taking any damage whatsoever. She goes on to land solid hits on jack freaking noir. It's ultimately redundant, however, as the role for who gets the awesome is reversed and Noir manages to take down the big bad bounty hunter, resulting in this being his CMOA.
** The end of Act IV gives the Deathleaper his own crowning moment of awesome, where he slaughters a vast combined army of destroyers and coalition forces with total ease.
** There are even plenty of meta examples. One will ultimately feel this after completeing a very long post. Rixio laying down the law on awsomedwarf and killing off Nine-Toes could count as well.
** Rose Lalonde faces down over a billion destroyer soldiers after reaching the god tiers and she wipes them all out without even trying. Hot damn.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: You cannot be Starscream, he is too busy being buried under 2500 tons of German overengineering.
** TTTTTUUUUUUUUUUUBBBBBBBBBEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: The first part of the start of Act V post is this trope incarnate. D'awwww.
** Optimus valiantly defending John against impossible odds, knowing that he was probably not going to make it, but still going in anyway, because he loved John as if he was his own son. And ultimately, he made the ultimate sacrifice.
** Combining both TearJerker and this trope, Samus Aran's death scene is very heartfelt, the last tender words between a fan favourite couple, with Samus trying to calm the Lone Wanderer...who stammers constantly in disbelief and in return promises that everything is going to be better.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: You know that when the Orchestral Music or power metal begins to get pulled out, you know that shit is going to hit the fan at raging velocities.
** When Tyrannolodon gets a modem at long long last, expect this trope to make a very dramatic return as he once again starts linking epic music to his posts. Homestuck, Transformers, Warhammer, and Doctor Who music are expected to be easily the most used.
*** It's already happening now that he has his modem back.

* HeroicSacrifice: Optimus ultimately died to protect John in a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming slash TearJerker

to:

* HeroicSacrifice: Optimus ultimately died to protect John in a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming slash TearJerker John.

* HighOctaneNightmareFuel: The Fallen's especially brutal murder of Kirby, I mean...holy SHIT!!!
** Let's not forget when Clockwerk made a meal of Blitzen. Yikes.
*** Pfft, did you read the post where Araghast massacred a Cragnon city and had the women raped, the children enslaved, and the men killed? He personally tore a child in half for daring to stand up to him and set a family on fire, and held on burning eight year old girl in place so she couldn't get to any water, laughing as she rapidly burned to death.

* MemeticMutation: One must always type SPAAAAAAAACE as if it were being said by a cheesy B-movie nararator.
** A common mishap of Rixio's is forgetting that there is a lot of warfare in SPAAAAAAAACE, leading Tyrannolodon to wonder how Koo manages to avoid all of it. Memetic mutations occured, and Koo has been dubbed the stealthiest character in the RP.
*** Eropstoad noticed a pattern that Endermen deaths in the roleplay were caused by motor vehicles. He predicts that it will become a running joke...

* MoralEventHorizon: Araghast the Pillager crosses the line with glee as he has everyone in a cragnon city of millions killed, raped, or enslaved. What really does it is the way he tears a five year old boy in half and lights his family on fire and holds his eight year old sister in place to ensure that she burns to death; and he laughs with delight all the while.
** Nemesis Prime arguably crosses this by ordering the decimation of the occupied civilian populaces for no real reason other than he can.

* TearJerker: Despite this series being largely an action role play, it has a great deal of tremendously saddening moments.
** Lord Blumiere and Tippi's final goodbye combined both the CrowningMomentOfHeartWarming trope and this trope, they finally had their love set into the bonds of marriage, despite everything that Blumiere did as Count Bleck, Tippi still forgave him...but ultimately, they both died to save the Omniverse.
** The death of Samus Aran...Just...the death of Samus Aran. The Lone Wanderer's reaction to his death is especially devastating. After everything they had been through, after all their promises, after all their tender love scenes together, it feels like a punch to the gut. And to watch the Lone Wanderer break down completely after having lost the one bit of family he still had...;-;
** Optimus' Death was also quite sad, both in and out of character. He was enormously well developed, hugely badass, compassionate...and he gave his life to defend John. He was widely respected by the characters in the game, and his passing still has a great effect on the role play.
** This was arguably supposed to be the response to Sly's death, and the torture he went through right before it. Of course, what with its rather unique presentations, it just feels more like one of Rixio's classic Bridge-Droppings.

* TheScrappy: Pretty much any of Spinus' characters are seen as this, as is Spinus himself.

* WatchItForTheMeme: There's multiple references to "All your Base," "Shoop-Da-Whoop," and "PINGAS."

This role play is quite simply a MassiveMultiplayerCrossOver role play for the Sporum, while neither the first PlayByPost role play with this name nor premise; it is easily the largest of it's kind on the sporum, dwarfing it's many imitators in size and popularity by a large margin. Though it's detractors often call it dumb, uninventive, or childish, all of the five dimensional clashes have so far been amongst the most popular Role Plays in the Sporum, with the Fifth one being the biggest by far. It's almost certain that the Sporum incarnation of Dimensional Clash had it's origins elsewhere (probably the mr.saturn proboards) but this article is not about them. On the Sporum, this role play started as an idea of a friend of the user [=ShadeofMoose18's=, but Shade wasn't feeling up to the challenge of being game master so he contacted Magnus, who obliged and created the first one in June of 2009; during the glory days of the Sporum.

* GambitRoulette: Pretty much everyone who follows Tzeentch plays this game, but most notably M'Kachan and Aetaeos'Rau'Keres: the second and third in command for Tzeentch respectively; are playing this game against one another.

* UnwitingPawn: John Egbert is this to M'Kachan, Omega Ridley is this to Aetaeos'Rau'Keres
** This aspect has been all but dropped from the role play as of now.

* XanatosGambit: Will always happen whenever the attention is focused upon a Tzeentchian character.
