They also commissioned an English dub for it, making it the first Saint Seiya series since the original to be dubbed into English, and the only one since the Creator/DiCEntertainment dub to be recorded outside of Texas, with Creator/BangZoomEntertainment on dubbing duties.

** Unicorn Jabu in the original only appeared in the first/last few chapters, CantCatchUp to Seiya and always remained an extra. But here, Unicorn Yato is one of the main characters, forms a ThreeAmigos trio with Tenma and Yuzuriha. It also helps that he's much more likable than [[SmugSnake Jabu]] and got some BigDamnHeroes moments on his own.

* AngstySurvivingTwin: Played with Aspros and Defteros, to milk all the angst regarding this trope. [[spoiler: Initially, it is Aspros who died-heck, he even died in Defteros' hands, who used to look upon him. Aspros, being Aspros, refused to accept his loss and swore he will return to take over the Sanctuary even after his death. The face Defteros make when he hit Aspros' heart and the fact he carried his older twin's dead body with BridalCarry tells us how affected Defteros is with Aspros' death. Not only he is wounded by the fact he killed his own twin brother, he also know his twin will be BackFromTheDead and train himself to fight Aspros once again. Then Aspros DOES BackFromTheDead, and this time, Defteros pulled a ThanatosGambit to purify Aspros from his own Genromaoken and from Mephistopheles Youma's influence. The face Aspros make indicates that it works, makes him wonder since when he looks down on Defteros and stopped loving him back, since when things goes wrong, realizing he just killed his own twin, and realizing it's his turn to play this trope. ]] [[TearJerker Pass me the tissue, please.]]

* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler: Partita, Tenma's mother, as an Specter]].

* BadassBoast: Cancer Manigoldo claims he's "the kind of man even Gods need to watch out for". [[spoiler: Considering he was able to destroy the ''entire'' body of a god, admittedly at the cost of his life, when the best Seiya and company could do to that god was prick his finger without their God Cloths, he's quite right.]]

* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: [[spoiler: Virgo Asmita confronts a [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed]] Defteros inside of his mind to release him from his brother's control.]]

* BerserkButton: [[spoiler: The mere presence of Wyvern Rhadamanthys, his father's murderer, is this to Leo Regulus.]]

* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: Tenma, Sasha and Alone perish after their last attack against Hades, only a handful survive ([[ForegoneConclusion Shion and Dohko]], Teneo, Yato, Yuzuriha, Atla, Cheshire and Pandora), Athena's army is practically destroyed, the Sanctuary is desolated and empty -- but the sky shines bright with the hope of the next generation.]]
