* InsaneTrollLogic: When Josh mentioned he thought Film/TheHauntedMansion was a bad movie, Tyler claimed he thought it was bad because he doesn't like Black actors. Josh reverses this by calling out Tyler for confusing Eddie Murphy with Will Smith because they look the same to him.

* AluminiumChristmasTrees: Tyler is shocked to discover that ''Film/{{Octopussy}}'' is an ''actual'', non-parody ''Film/JamesBond'' movie.

'''[[https://www.youtube.com/user/versus Versus]]''' is a Website/YouTube Let's Play channel. It features a competitive, co-commentary series of Let's Plays of various games, primarily between LetsPlay/JoshJepson and Creator/TylerSederwall (formerly known as [=AttackingTucans=]). The two race through the games, sometimes with specific sub-rules for each game (get all the blue coins in Mario Sunshine, get the Gold Skulltulas in Zelda, and so on), usually attempting OneHundredPercentCompletion. A heads-up display will keep track of each player's scores and progress as they play together. All the while they play word games, exchange stories, and discuss the finer points of vocabulary and music- with Tyler slipping in off-color jokes and Josh running the gamut of reactions.

On June 9th 2020, Tyler announced that he and Josh would be going seperate directions, Josh no longer helping run the Versus series.

* ThatCameOutWrong: In episode 7, Josh says that he's "caught between a rock and a [[HoYay hard Tyler]]" before quickly trying to backpedal.
